Our Holiday - Prague to Paris May 2011

Hi everyone,
Where have I been for the last few weeks; having a fantastic holiday in Europe!!  We left Perth and flew to Dubi and then onto Prague. We had three days in Prague, and we were then bused to Budapest and joined our boat cruise on the Danube River.  We made our way to the Main Canal and then into the Rhine River arriving in Amsterdam.  Along the way we called in at some of the large cities and some very quaint little villages.  We stayed in Amsterdam for one night and then bused to Paris passing through three countries on the way, Holland, Belgium and France.  Then we flew from Paris to Dubi to Perth to finish our fantastic holiday.  We had a fabulous time meeting lots of interesting people, eating and drinking far to much and taking in all the lovely scenery and history along the way.  These are some of the photos taken on the trip.
Rear of Cathedral of St. Vitus - Prague
Waldstein Palace - Prague
Fresco's at The Waldstein Palace - Prague - Entry to this building above, one side is Open and situated in a Garden

Part of the Dionysus Roman Mosaic (2nd Century) - Cologne
Discovered not that long ago so we were informed. They are endeavouring to build an underground railway line and have discovered other Roman ruins in it's path.

Canals - Amsterdam

Flower Markets - Amsterdam

Windmill - Amsterdam One of the only ones left in the city.

Museum - Paris Note the Gold Statues, Gold is used as a feature all through Europe.
La Fayette Shopping Mall - Paris
Gorgeous architecture in the centre of the building.

Magdalenae Catholic Church - Paris
Lovely garden in the front of the building on the steps and the inside is absolutely stunning in it's simplicity.

Eiffel Tower by Day and Night.
This is just a few of the photos I took, there are lots more from the rest of the holiday. Enjoy!
Thank's for stopping by today.
Hugs,

  1. Hello Sue ... wow, thanks so much for sharing your photos. Looks like you had a fantabulous trip. I think the history is something we really lack here in Oz and looks like you got to see lots of it! Hope all is well. Chelle :)
