Just Add Ink #95 Bah Humbug - Season's Greetings

Hi there,
Today's post is for the Just Add Ink Challenge this week to create a Christmas project with NO Christmas Images and NO Christmas Paper, but you can use a Christmas Sentiment.  I decided to try colouring the new Silver Glimmer Paper after seeing a video by Mary Fish and Jill Olsen.  It was very easy to do and now I can have any colour I need for a project in the future.  I used black card to make the presents pop and it also appears to tone down the glimmer a little.  I did find you need to use Glue Dots to stick glimmer card on glimmer.

This card was featured on Paper Punch Addiction on 28th November, 2011.
Supplies:
Stamps:  S/U's Many Merry Messages
Card:  Basic Black, Whisper White, Silver Glimmer
Ink: Old Olive, Melon Mambo, Bashful Blue, Versamark
Finishing Touches: Pearls, Crystal
Tools: Big Shot, Polka Dot EB Folder, 1 3/8" Square Punch, 1" Square Punch, 1/4" Round Punch, Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch, Heart Punch, Fiskars Trimmer and Scoring Tool, Embossing Buddy, Silver EB Powder, Heat Tool, Stamp-a-ma-jig, Dble Sided Tape, Mini Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multi Glue, Aqua Painter
Thanks' for dropping in today.
Hugs,
Cat's Ink Siggy

  1. Just gorgeous, Sue! Tombow glue also works, but takes a while to dry (found this out the hard way!)

  7. Ohh, this is a bit special. I love the idea of colouring the papers, it's lucky that someone thinks of these great ideas because they totally elude me. Thank for playing along at JAI this week.
