Still addINKtive #2 - Field Flowers

Hello Friends,
Today's post is for this weeks Still addINKtive Challenge.  We have a Sketch and Colour Combination for you to use.  It took me a while to decide on what to make with the colours this week,  until I played with the two step flower stamp from Field Flowers and I liked how the Summer Starfruit and Tempting Turquiose  looked and that is where I built my card from.  I tried Crumb Cake ink for the Hello Doily stamp in the background but thought it was too dark and then decided to do a Versamark and Crumb Cake Chalk version and I love that it is so soft and pretty and not overpowering to the rest of the design.  For my finishing touches I added some pearls and put some Summer Starfruit Satin Ribbon on top of some Chocolate Chip Dotted Ribbon, I just love them together.

Supplies:
Stamps:  S/U's Field Flowers, Hello Doily, En Francias BG, Petite Pairs
Card: Chocolate Chip, Tempting Turquoise, Very Vanilla, Summer Starfruit
Ink: Tempting Turquoise, Summer Starfruit, Chocolate Chip, Versamark, Crumb Cake Chalk
Finishing Touches: Chocolate Chip Dotted Ribbon, Summer Starfruit Satin Ribbon, Pearls
Cool Tools: Big Shot, Sizzix Large Scallop Square Die, Stamp-a-ma-jig, Large Oval Punch, Scallop Oval Punch, Dble Sided Tape, Dimensionals
Thanks for visiting today,
Hugs,
Cat's Ink Siggy

  2. This card caught my eye right away. The turquoise over the yellow gives the flowers a green tint which is lovely! They remind me of the green zinnias my daughter had in her wedding arrangements. They were unique and beautiful.

  3. Super how you two-stamped the flowers with the 2 colors you used instead of adding a customary neutral. They almost look real and the doily stamp behind them is just awesome!

  4. This card is just amazing in every way, Susan. A real jaw dropper. I love how the combination of the two colours on the flowers has introduced a hint of green too.

Thanks so much for stopping by the Playhouse and leaving your anniversary wishes!! I'm sorry I'm just now getting around to thank you. I took some time off to celebrate with Mister. The outpouring of love has been quite overwhelming and wonderful!
