Still Addinktive Spot That Stamp Set - By the Tide

Happy Wednesday Everyone,
This week at Still addINKtive we are looking at Stampin' Up's By The Tide and By The Seashore for the Spot That Stamp Set Challenge. Don't forget to make a new card or link one you have already made so we have a comprehensive list of ideas.
I wanted to try the Salt Technique for the background. There are two different ways you can do this technique.
1. Use glossy card, brayer the colours on and spray with a mister and then sprinkle it with rock salt.
2. Use watercolour paper, spray it extensively, so the ink will run when you dab it on with a paintbrush, then let it soak up the colour and water and dry off a bit and sprinkle it with rock salt.  I wet the paintbrush before picking up the colour and washed it off after I used each one.  I have added a photo of the samples I made further down in my post.   I used the brayered glossy card for my card today.

Still addINKtive Spot That Stamp Set - Feeling Sentimental

Hello Stampers,
Today's post is for the Spot That Stamp Set at Still addINKtive this week. We are to use one of three SAB sets Madison Avenue, Feeling Sentimental or Vintage Verses.  I have used Feeling Sentimental, I love the old world charm of the images. The mat is Pool Party's Core'dinations card, which I sanded with a Sanding Block after it was embossed.  I stamped the images on the Whisper White Window Frame and used the die to cut the mat by going around the outside of the same die that I used to cut the Whisper White.  I used the Festive Paper Piercing Pack to pierce around the image.  The Paper Clips are from a retired Hodgepodge Hardware Embellishment Kit.

Supplies:
Stamps: S/U's Feeling Sentimental, Happiest Birthday Wishes, Apothecary Art, That's the Ticket, Pretty Petites
Card and Papers: Basic Grey, Whisper White, Pool Party Core'dinations Card Stock
Ink: Basic Grey, Pool Party
Finishing Touches: Shaped Paper Clips and Hardware, 1/8" White Taffeta Ribbon
Cool Tools: Big Shot, Sizzix Framelits - Window Frames Collection, Festive Paper Piercing Pack, Piercing Tool, Sizzix Framelits - Hearts a Flutter, Sizzix Lacy Brocade E/Folder, Sizzix Chevron E/Folder, Sizzix Honeycomb E/Folder, Decorative Label Punch, Ticket Corner Punch, Petite Curly Label Punch, Sanding Block, Stamp-a-ma-jig, Dble Sided Tape, Dimensionals

Happy Birthday Jenna!

Hi Friends,
It's was our youngest Grand daughter's 3rd Birthday last Saturday and this is the card I made for her.  Jenna's Birthday theme was Tinkerbell, and not having an image I decided to try using the Wrapping Paper I had bought.  I tried to match the colours on the Wrapping Paper and used a couple of Stampin' Up's retired colours and card.  I also used the new Sizzix Card Base Pop 'n Cuts and the Dress Form to build the base for my card.  I backed the Wrapping Paper with Whisper White card to give it more stability.  Tinkerbell and some of the flowers are cut out and mounted on Dimensionals for a bit of dimension. Finished with some Dazzling Diamonds on Tinkerbell's wings and the Multi coloured cord.

Supplies:
Stamps: S/U's Patterned Party
Card and Papers: Cool Carribean, Whisper White, Melon Mambo, Tinkerbell Wrapping Paper
Markers: Melon Mambo, Tempting Turquoise, Daffodil Delight, Gable Green
Finishing Touches: Creation Station Multi Coloured Cord, Dazzling Diamonds
Cool Tools: Big Shot, Sizzix Card Base Pop 'n Cuts Die, Sizzix Dress Form Pop 'n Cuts Die, Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels Eight, Stamp-a-ma-jig,  Martha Stewart Lace Hearts Border Punch, Papertrey Ink Numbers Die, Computer and Printer, Dble Sided Tape, Dimensionals, Anywhere Glue Stick, 2 Way Glue Pen
