Twofer Card Challenge #7 - Beverage - July, 2018

Hello there,
Today I am playing at the Twofer Card Challenge a first for me and the Challenge is Beverage.  I have made one Conventional and one Unconventional I hope they meet the criteria.  My first card is an Iced Coffee image, the cup base is made using the Shaving Cream technique on glossy card and then ice blocks stamped on vellum and an acetate die cut covering over the cream.  The cream on top has been dry embossed using the D'Vine Swirls embossing folder from Provo Craft and then covered with the die cut cup lid made of acetate.  I finished off with the straw, coffee beans and the die cut and stamped sentiments.

Thanks to the Twofer Design Team my cards were voted  Winners for the Unconventional Award for July.
Supplies:
Stamps: S/U's Coffee Cafe, My Favourite Things - Meet Me at the Cafe, S/U's Special Celebrations, Papertrey Ink - Bells and Boughs
Card: Thick and Thin Whisper White, Crumb Cake, Glossy White, Metallic Copper, Acetate, Vellum
Ink: Soft Suede, Close to Cocoa, Grey Granite
Finishing Touches: Creamy Caramel Gingham Ribbon
Cool Tools: Big Shot, Sizzix Coffee Cups Framelit Dies, Verve Stamps VSDC-060 Coffee Word Die, Word Window Punch, Sizzix Stylish Stripes E/Folder, Provo Craft D'Vine Swirls E/Folder, Shaving Cream, Misti, Sponge, Dble Sided Tape, Mini Glue Dots, Foam Tape

For the second card I made a Snowglobe.  I sponged the background with Tim Holtz Tumbled Glass Distress Ink, stamped and die cut the image and made a snowdrift with a die cut.  The top of the cup is the base.  I used a Falling Snow Stencil and Embossing Paste to add snow inside the globe.  I then dry embossed the Softly Falling E/Folder on the matt. I watercoloured the Snowman and used my Gelly Roll Pen on the hat, gloves and scarf.  Finished off with the sentiments and some Snowflake Sequins.

  8. I would have never thought in a million years to make a snow globe out of a coffee cup! These are two spectacular cards, Susan. Your shaving cream technique for the coffee reminds me of swirls of cream running through coffee, and the whipped cream is the perfect topping for it! And I adore that snowman in your snow globe! Great Christmas card! Two great cards!! Love 'em! Thank you for joining us at the Twofer Challenge!! Bev
