Merry Monday #81 - Oh No...Santa's Stuck!

Happy Monday Everyone,
This weeks Merry Monday Challenge is to use Santa on your card.  I made a Tent card for my Santa who is up on the roof stuck half way down the chimney.  LOL.  I stamped him three times cutting out the face and hat and mounted it on dimensionals and changed the chimney colour to match the iron roof which has been crimped. I punched two Decorative Labels to get the mat for the sentiment and cut each one in half.  Just a simple little card, hope you like it, don't forget to check out the rest of the Design Team's fabulous cards.

Supplies:
Stamps: Eureka Santa, S/U's Great Greetings (R)
Card and Papers: Basic Black, Whisper White, Smokey Slate
Ink: Stazon Black, Smokey Slate, Real Red, Blush Blossom, Pretty In Pink
Finishing Touches: Dazzling Diamonds, Silver Pen
Cool Tools: Crimper, Decorative Label Punch, Aqua Painter, Dble Sided Tape, Dimensionals, 2 Way Glue Pen

Thanks for taking a peek today.
Hugs,

Pat Carr's Stamp Camp October 2013 - Wood and Feathers

Hi Friends,
This card by Pat was one of the favourites at the stamp camp featuring the Light Birchwood Technique used as the background and is so easy to do.  We used Early Espresso, Old Olive and Crumb Cake for the colours and a Bone Folder.
1. Using the edge of the Bone Folder and Early Espresso ink, just tap onto the stamp pad to pick up the ink and drag up or down randomly in lines on the card stock.  Keep re-inking the Bone Folder edge and repeat until you have the desired effect.
2. Don't forget to clean the bone folder before changing to another colour. We used Old Olive ink in the same motion as before but also swipe sideways to remove excess ink and lightly smudge the ink on the card stock.
3. Use a dauber to sponge the edges of the card stock with Crumb Cake ink and then use the side edge of the dauber to gently rub some Crumb Cake in between some of the close lines created by the Bone Folder.  This gives the Woodgrain a more aged look.
4. To make the feathers we scored down the centre and folded the card in half cutting out a feather shape. Stamp the feather shapes with Early Espresso ink and S/U's Gorgeous Grunge stamp and sponge around the edges. Then cut fine slits down the sides of each feather, cutting V shapes every so often to add more definition.  After tying the knot we frayed the Burlap trim.
