Merry Monday #94 - Christmas Stocking

Welcome to the Merry Monday Challenge this week.  We are challenging you to create a Christmas Stocking or use Stockings on your card.  I went for a shaped Stocking card in untraditional colours.

Stenciled Day 3 - Elegant Bird

Hi Friends,
Today's post is inspired by Day 3 of the On Line Stencilled classes.  I just loved the stencilled techniques by Debby Hughes today.  Debby's stunning card was so elegant and beautiful, just gorgeous I had to give it a go. I cut my own templates using dies in my stash and applied the embossing paste on the bird and the mat.  Both are coloured with Tim Holtz Distress Inks. I used some shimmer ink and water on the mat for the background effect, embossed the sentiment with gold embossing powder and finished off with some crystals and a pearl. Love how it turned out, I was so inspired by these Stenciled classes you will be seeing a bit more of the techniques we learnt soon.
