Mosaic Heart Anniversary!

Hi there,
Today's card is for our Son and his Wife's Wedding Anniversary this week.  I white embossed the Mosaic Heart using the stencil and Versamark Ink, then sponged Tim Holtz Distress Inks over the card.  Once it had dried I splattered water droplets with a paintbrush.  I created the sentiment on my computer, printed it out and finished off with some Silver Heart Confetti.  First time I have used my Distress Inks and Water to create a card, I love how easy it is to do and the WOW effect it creates.

Merry Monday #103 - Snowman Family

Hi there,
It's time for another Merry Monday challenge, Kathy's choice and we are challenging you to use a Snowman on your Christmas card.  I went with this adorable little family of Snow people from Birdie Brown.  I also added some snow using the Simon Says Stencil - Falling Snow and embossing paste.  The background was dry embossed using the Snow Burst embossing folder from Sizzix.

Virginia's View Challenge #2 and The Card Concept #7- Happy Birthday Fiona!

Our youngest Daughter has a Birthday on Saturday and this is the card I made for her.  I did case a card of Debbie Hughes from the Stencilled Online Card Class but had to use different products to make it and I changed a few design details along the way. I love how Debbie's cards are CAS and have soft lines. I coloured some of the pearls with a Copic pen. Virginia Lu's 2nd challenge is up and we are to use a Stencil to play along and The Card Concept wants us to Use A Butterfly.  I think my card is Clean and Layered in design terms.

Merry Monday #102 - Let's Meet Under the Mistletoe!

Happy Monday Friends,
It's Monday again and time for another Merry Monday Challenge.  This week we want you to use Mistletoe on your card. It took me a while to decide on how I would do this challenge, Mistletoe in Australia looks very different from that in the Northern Hemisphere. I ordered a Die from America which arrived just in time and this is my CAS card for this week.  I made the sentiment on my computer and cut out the flag with my My Favourite Things Die-namics.  I used the Hardwood background stamp from Stampin' Up! and finished off with some Ribbon and Pearls and a sentiment inside of the card.

Merry Monday #101 - 25th December

Today's post is for this weeks Merry Monday Challenge and we are challenging you use Grey, Red and White for your card,  My card is CAS, I started with the striped DSP and used the Holly embossing folder and inked it up with Versamark before I ran it through the Big Shot.  I coloured the Silver Glimmer card with a Black Copic pen and stitched the little tag on my sewing machine.

Online Card Classes - Clean & Simple One Layer Cards 3 - Dry Embossing - Brush Stroke

Hi there,
Today's card features Dry Embossing with a cardboard Shim; so not all of the card is embossed.  You use the Shim to create the areas you want embossed and the rest of the card will stay plain.  I love the way the embossed Stripes fade out.

Online Card Classes - Clean & Simple One Layer Cards 3 - Dry Embossing - Just For You

Happy Weekend Everyone,
Today's card is embossed with two different tools, the embossing folder and the frame at the same time. It took me a couple of goes to get the colouring in the squares done, I tried a variety of mediums and settled on the Gelly Roll Pen which appeared to be the easiest of all to do.

Online Card Classes - Clean & Simple One Layer Cards 3 - Colouring Freehand with Copics - Copic Flowers

Hello there,
For today's card we were to colour freehand with Copics on Watercolour Paper and blend the colouring so it appeared it was water coloured.  I followed and cased the tutorial for this card. I think it came together okay, my blending pen died while I was doing the flowers and I can't find the refill pen so I used a pale blue copic to finish off.

My card for today is featuring Simple Copic Colouring on Vellum from Day 7 of the Online Card Classes.   I used medium to dark shades of Copic colour and I love how the vellum softens them to create a pretty soft look.  I Inlayed the Butterfly too.

Another card for the Online Classes were you mask out the sections and then emboss each one.  I went with mostly Metallic embossing powders as I don't have much else.  Love the look and all the shine, fantastic technique.

Online Card Class - Clean & Simple One Layer Cards 3 - Backgrounds - Graffiti Stamping - It's Your Day

Happy Monday Friends,
Today's card features the Graffiti Stamping Technique and is a fabulous way to keep your card CAS.  I inlaid the word Happy and then stamped the other word stamps.  It is a fun technique, only thing was I had stamp sets all over the place trying to find the right word combinations to use. LOL  You definitely need a Stamp-a-ma-jig for this technique unless you are using all clear stamps.  I like how it came together, a technique I would do again.
