Gavin the Green Dragon

Happy Monday Everyone,
Today's post is for three challenges this week:
Pals Paper Arts #82 Elements of Style - Add Scallops but no Scallop Edge Punch
Play Date Cafe Colour Challenge #70
Clean and Simple Sketch Challenge #129
After stamping and embossing my image I watercoloured it with re-inkers.  I find I get better definition with the re-inkers. I used the High Hopes Dragon feet stamp and stamped the background with Versamark and used my Stampin Pastels to give them a soft touch.  Punched out the 3/4" circles and applied them starting in the middle so the top and bottom circles looked more even, otherwise I would have had a tiny piece at the bottom of the card.  Scored a line on each side of the base to create more interest with my Fiskars Scoring Tool.
Supplies:
Stamps:  High Hopes - Gavin the Givin' Dragon, Dragon Footprints, S/U's On Your Birthday
Card: Gable Green, Pumpkin Pie, Cool Caribbean, Watercolour Card, Very Vanilla
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black, Versamark, Gable Green, Pumpkin Pie, Cool Caribbean, Stampin Pastels
Embellishments: Pumpkin Pie Satin Ribbon, Button, Bakers Twine
Tools:  Big Shot, Spellbinders Big Scalloped Ovals LG Nestabilities, Multi Mat, 3/4" Circle Punch, Fiskars Trimmer and Scoring Tool, Large Oval Punch, Scalloped Oval Punch, Dimensionals, Aqua Painter, Embossing Buddy, Heat Tool, Clear EB Powder, Glue Dot, Double Sided Tape
Thanks for stopping by today.
Hugs,

Stamperoo's February 2011 Meeting - A Beautiful Rose

Happy Saturday Friends,
This year the Stamperoo's have changed their meetings to a technique or project one month and then a card swap the next.  For our February Meeting Pat Carr showed us how to create a rose with punches and then mount it on a stem with leaves all made out of card, glue, wire and tape.  It was a fun night and we all had a gorgeous rose to take home.  Here is a photo of the one I made.  You could add Crystal Effects on the rose petals to look like a droplet of water or spritz with the new Smooch Spritz to add some glitz.
Supplies:  Not a lot of supplies required.
Card: Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive
Ink: Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive
Tools:  Fancy Flower Punch, Large Oval Punch, Boho Blossoms Punch, Bone Scorer, Tweezers, Scissors, Tombow Multi Glue, Florist Wire, Florist Tape, Sponges
Thank's for swinging by today.  Happy Stamping!
