The Play Date Cafe Challenge #69 - and Case Study #27 - Black Monarch

Today's card is for a combined challenge with The Play Date Cafe and Case Study.  I totally cased the card using the supplies I had with the Play Date Cafe challenge colours. I have added a few design elements of my own, like embossing and shaping the leaves and using the Spellbinders Blossoms Two Nestability to make the flower, which I cut to make petals, and used the Scallop Border Punch around three sides of the background layer.  I love how the base card is cut with a Nestability, I have not done it with this shaped card before, it is something I will do again..

Supplies:
Stamps: S/U's Priceless, Warmest Regards (R)
Card and Papers: Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, Basic Black, Patterns Pack II DSP (R), Newsprint DSP, DS Paper Patterns Stack - Brights
Ink: Stazon Black, Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, Real Red, Garden Green
Embellishments: Button, Crystals, Bakers Twine
Tools: Big Shot, Spellbinders Curved Rectangles, Labels Ten, Blossoms Two Nestabilities, Martha Stewart Monarch Butterfly Punch, S/U's Scallop Border Punch, Large Oval Punch, Sizzlits Little Leaves Die, Dimensionals, Mini Glue Dots, Sponges, Square Lattice EB Folder
Thank's for stopping by today.  Let me know if you like my card.
Hugs,
Cat's Ink Siggy

  7. Very pretty! I love all the green you used - a lot of people seem more focused on the black & red, so yours really pops out of the pack! :-) Thanks for playing along with us at The Play Date Cafe!
