Just Add Ink #100 - Just Add A Crown - Crown of Hearts

Hello Friends,

Today's post is for the Just Add Ink Challenge this week to Just Add A Crown for their 100th Challenge.  I had not played with my Simply Adorned Charm goodies so I decided to have a play and use it for the challenge.  After a few practise goes and much searching for stamps that would suit, I had some fun putting the bits and pieces together. I could see it being quite addictive and time consuming (depending on the amount of detail you wanted to incorporate) creating little pieces of art to put inside the pendant.

Just Add Ink #99 - Just Add Fancy Packaging - Elf and Santa Hat Boxes

Hello Everyone,
Today's post is for the Just Add Ink Challenge this week to Just Add Fancy Packaging.  I made a few of these Santa Hat Boxes as Christmas Presents this year and filled them with cards and tags and gave them all away.  I hadn't tried an Elf Hat so here it is and I made another Santa Hat too.  I also made an Elf and Santa Tag out of punches to attach to them.  If you check out this post you can find out a bit more about them.  They are a quick and easy project to make.

Just Add Ink #95 Bah Humbug - Season's Greetings

Hi there,
Today's post is for the Just Add Ink Challenge this week to create a Christmas project with NO Christmas Images and NO Christmas Paper, but you can use a Christmas Sentiment.  I decided to try colouring the new Silver Glimmer Paper after seeing a video by Mary Fish and Jill Olsen.  It was very easy to do and now I can have any colour I need for a project in the future.  I used black card to make the presents pop and it also appears to tone down the glimmer a little.  I did find you need to use Glue Dots to stick glimmer card on glimmer.

Just Add Ink #94, Paper Crafting Journey #23 & The Play Date Cafe #108 - Fabulous Florets

Hi Stampers,

Today's post is for the Just Add Ink Sketch Challenge, Paper Crafting Journey #23 - Embossing and The Play Date Cafe Colour Challenge this week.  The colours are rich and dramatic.  I used Copper embossing powder for the flowers and leaves and then softened the focal point by using metallic paper, spritzing with water and colouring with re-inkers.  The colours blend together nicely and dry with a sheen and softness.

Just Add Ink #90 - Paisley Swirls

Hi Friends,
Today's post is for the Just Add Ink Sketch Challenge this week.  I wanted to use this piece of Designer Paper from Paisley Petals as a feature on my card and took my colours from it to.  I turned the sketch on it's side.  I stamped a flower from Paisley Petals along the edge and then dry embossed and sanded it back for some added interest.  I used the Papertrey Ink Mat Stack as a Frame for my sentiment and added the Scribbles Swirls with some pearls.

Just Add Ink #88 - Just Add A Die Cut -Under the Big Top

Hello Friends,
Today's post is for the Just Add Ink Challenge - Just Add A Die Cut this week. I had been thinking about trying a Circus Big Top for a while using the Sizzix Milk Carton Die from Stampin' Up!.  So Roll Up, Roll Up come and join in the Fun.... it was a fun project to create.  It is a Six Sided box with a lid and could be used for all sorts of goodies.  

This project was voted the Winner this week at Just Add Ink.

Just Add Ink # 86 - Speed Boat

Hi there,
Today's post is for this weeks Just Add Ink Sketch Challenge.  I rocked and rolled the Extreme Elements stamp with Pool Party and Island Indigo.  Water coloured the boat image and mounted it with Dimensionals. The other images are also water coloured and punched out with the 1" Circle punch and matted on a 1 1/4" Circle Punch with a piece of Pool Party Ruffled Ribbon underneath.

This card was given an Honourable Mention at Just Add Ink this week.

Just Add Ink #84 - White + Colour of Your Choice - Red Rose

Happy Wednesday Everyone,
Today's post is for the Just Add Ink Colour Challenge this week.  I have used Poppy Parade as my colour of choice with white.  I adore the rose image from S/U's Fifth Avenue Floral, so I have embossed the outline with White embossing powder on Shimmery White cardstock and watercoloured the image and painted it with a re-inker and aqua painter.  The colours are always so soft and pretty.
