Online Card Classes - Stretch Your Stamps 2 - Day 1 - Happy Birthday

Hello Friends,
Today I have joined the Online Card Classes - Stretch Your Stamps 2.  This is my version of a card that I loved from Shari Carroll's Demonstration on Day 1 using a Reverse Background Stamp. I used Tim Holtz Distress Ink Stamp Pads, Antique Photo, Evergreen Bough, Peeled Paint and Crushed Olive on Tim Holtz Watercolour card. The stamping is second generation and so soft and pretty.   I cut my piece into 1" Squares and mounted them with Dimesnionals.  The Happy Die cut and Birthday Stamp is from WPlus 9's Whole Lotta Happy Stamp Set.  I used the left over stamped squares on the inside of my card.

This is the result of my first stamping off for these two pieces and it was my third attempt, not quite enough water on the left hand side and the colour is a lot more vibrant.  There is a fine line between success and being okay and a lot of experimenting in between.  I enjoyed the process!!

Thanks for dropping by today.
Hugs,

Pat Carr's Annual Stamp Camp April 2014 - Birthday and Anniversary Book

Dear Friends,
Today's project is a handy Birthday and Anniversary Book enclosed in an inexpensive Photo Album.  It is small enough to carry around in your handbag. To make the pages you can use any supplies you have on hand and vary the stamping to suit the Birthday's or Anniversaries that come up in each month.  The colours for the stamping were co-ordinated to match and compliment the Designer Papers. Pat designed and created the template on her computer, at the front of the Book we have the Anniversaries and what they represent and the Birthstones and Flowers for each month for easy reference. Enjoy!

Merry Monday #118 - Button Christmas Tree

Welcome to a new week at Merry Monday and it's time for a new challenge.  Lori is challenging us to use Ribbon and Buttons on our card. This a fantastic challenge to use up some of those buttons stashed away in your cupboards, I know I have far too many.  I used a Clear button for the trunk of the tree and covered it with Washi Tape. I cut out the triangle shape for the tree and then covered it with buttons that I had threaded twine though or added a crystal in the centre. A good project to do with your children or grand kids and relatively easy to do.

Supplies:
Stamps: S/U's Party Punch for Sentiment
Card and Papers: Real Red, Whisper White, Gold Foil, DSP Simply Scrappin' Kit Wish
Ink: Real Red
Finishing Touches: Various Buttons, Crystals, Strawberry Red Bakers Lustre Twine, Key Lime Baker's Lustre Twine, Washi Tape
Cool Tools: 1" Circle Punch, Spellbinders Classic Circle Nestabilities, Dble Sided Tape, Tombow Multi Glue
Don't forget to check out what the other Design Team Members have created for some inspiration and get started on those Christmas cards, less than 24 weeks to Christmas.
Thanks for calling in today.

Pat Carr's Annual Stamp Camp April 2014 - Delveen's Present

Hello Friends,
I have been going to "Avalon" in Toodyay for Pat's Camp for a few years now and Pat has expressed the desire for all of us to create something for the owners Delveen and Peter Wakefield in previous years.  Delveen is into Patchwork and has a lot of  camps booked for the Homestead and most of their clientele is Workshop related.  Others that have stayed have made items that Delveen displays around the building.  This Shadow Box with the Inchies is our contribution for 2014, those that attended each made an Inchie and Pat put it together.

Delveen and Pat
The main colour combination of Soft Suede, Always Artichoke, Cherry Cobbler, Night of Navy, Very Vanilla and  Marina Mist where used with a variety of supplies to numerous to mention. My Inchie is the Butterfly on the Bottom Left of the close up picture unframed.  I think the Shadow Box turned out really lovely and I can't wait to see where Delveen has hung it in the building.

Pat Carr's Annual Stamp Camp April 2014 - Ghosting Technique

Happy Monday Everyone,
Today's gorgeous card was a Workshop project designed by Jenny Chilton using the Ghosting Technique for Pat's Camp. Unfortunately my rectangle isn't quite level, but you can still see how it was created with lots of masking and stamping off a number of times to get the lighter image. It also requires the use of a Stamp Positioner (ie: Stamp-a-ma-jig).

 Supplies:
Stamps: S/U's Creative Elements,
Card and Papers: Elegant Eggplant, Whisper White,
Ink: Elegant Eggplant, Old Olive, Stazon Black
Cool Tools: Stamp-a-ma-jig, Masking Medium, Aqua Painter, Dble Sided Tape
