Merry Monday #162 - Merry Christmas Santa

Hello Friends,
Happy Monday, it's time for a new challenge at Merry Monday's Christmas Card Challenge.  This week Kristie is our Hostess and she is challenging us to Use a Tag on our Christmas Cards. I used a NBUS (Never Been Used Stamp) that I have had for quite a while for my tag.  I watercoloured Santa's face and then sponged colour on the rest of the tag.  I added the Holly and Berries for some added interest with the Silver Ribbon, Crystals, Velum and then Silver Embossed the Sentiment. I used S/U's Chalkboard Pen to highlight Santa's Hat, Beard and Eye Brows.  Provo Crafts Snowflake E/Folder finished off the background.  Drop by the Merry Monday blog and check out the amazing cards by the rest of the Design Team for some more inspiration.

One Layer Christmas Card Challenge #11 - Christmas Poinsettia

Happy Tuesday Everyone,
Welcome to the One Layer Christmas Card Challenge #11.  We are challenging you to use a Poinsettia as the Optional Twist for this Challenge.  To add some interest I designed a Bordering Sentiment Card using the Poinsettia Sprays on either side of the Sentiment and then coloured them with Crumb Cake for another variation instead of red.  I finished off with some pearls in the centre of each flower.

Merry Monday #161 - Christmas Pudding

Today's post is for this weeks Merry Monday Christmas Card Challenge and Kathy is challenging us to Use Sparkle and Shine on our cards.  To make my card sparkle I used Glitter, Glossy and Foil card to create my punched out Christmas Pudding and then added the embossed sentiment which I matted on some more Glitter card and used Gold cord as a finishing touch.

One Layer Christmas Card Challenge #10 R - Shooting Star

Merry Monday #160 - Newsprint Bells

Good Morning,
Today's post is for this weeks Merry Monday Christmas Card Challenge.  Karren is Hostess this week and she is challenging us to Use Newsprint on our cards. I created a CAS design and used Newsprint DSP from Stampin' Up! and cut my bells out and layered them on some Whisper White to make them more stable and sponged the edges.  The background was embossed with Little Holly Leaves from Sizzix.  I cut a piece out of the Smokey Slate card and popped part of my Greeting in the space and mounted the two panels on Dimensionals.  The Christmas Word Die Cut was a Gift from Karren at Christmas and I coloured it with a Basic Grey Marker.  I embossed the Bow with Provo Craft Polka Dot E/Folder for some added interest. I finished off with some Crystals.

Jessica's Six

Today's card is for our Grand-daughter Jessica who turned Six recently.  I randomly stamped the acrobat figure and used a stencil to sponge on the larger Stars and then used Embossing Paste to add the smaller Stars.  The sentiment was White embossed onto Vellum and attached with Glue Dots.

One Layer Christmas Card Challenge #10 - Star of Wonder

Welcome to a new OLCC Challenge, this week we are asking you to Use Stars as the Twist. I masked and sponged some Distress Ink in the centre of my card and then misted the sponging with water.  I stamped the silhouette scene and the stars, embossing the stars with Silver embossing Powder. I inlaid the Silver Foil Star and finished off with the sentiment.  We would love you to join us and make a One Layer Card for your stash for Christmas and do check out the rest of the Design Team for some more inspiration.

Merry Monday #158 - Christmas Bauble

Happy Monday Everyone,
Today's post is for the Merry Monday Christmas Card Challenge, Deanne is our Hostess this week and she is challenging us to use a Stencil on our cards. I used Stampin' Up's Dots and Stripes Stencil to create the striped background and sponged it with Tim Holtz Peeled Paint Distress Ink and added some pearlescent spray. I coloured the Christmas Bauble image with Blendabilities, finishing off with some gold cord and gold foil card as a mat for my sentiment.
