Dynamic Duos #10 - Flower Garden

Welcome,
Today's post is for the Dynamic Duos Bold and Sassy Challenge this week to use Old Olive and Rich Razzleberry plus Neutrals.  Lesley has prepared a colour swatch of the Neutrals that we can use for reference as shown on the Dynamic Duos blog and my sidebar. I was aiming for a CAS card this week, but it could be considered otherwise. LOL. I embossed 3/4 of the Whisper White mat card.  Cut out the Mini Royal Roses in white and sponged the edges with Rich Razzleberry.  Coloured in the Hello Blossom stamp with markers, attached the flowers and finished them off with some pearls.  Made the bow with my Bow Easy and stamped the sentiment using my Stamp-a-ma-jig.  For the inside I did some embossing with the Polka Dot EB Folder and the Scoring Tool on my Fiskars Trimmer.  Hope I have inspired you to give the challenge a go, Happy Stamping!

Merry Monday Sketch Challenge # 24 - Snow Scene

Hello Friends,
Today's post is for the Merry Monday Sketch Challenge this week.  I cased an idea from my good friend Pat Carr for the main ornament, but  changed the shape and added the Snowman to make it my own little snow scene and repeated the ornament for the sentiment.  I sponged the sky and each layer of snow and the snow parts were embossed with the polka dot EB folder.  Cut out the trees and applied the White Gel Pen to make them look like they are covered in snow and dotted the sky with the white gel pen. Attached the snowman with Dimensionals.  The Sentiment ornament was punched out three times using the 1 1/4" Circle Punch and different card and then cut back to create it with the addition of the top of the Ornament Punch.

Thanks to Vicki this card was awarded an Honourable Mention this week.

Dynamic Duos #7 - Party Dress

Hello Friends,
This week we have a Black Tie Colour combination of Melon Mambo and Basic Black with Neutrals.  The Desert Option is to add Ribbon.  I used this Art Impression Dress Stamp for my main image which I have had for far too long and not used.  I resized the bodice as I felt the original looked too small, gathered the black tulle and added it to my dress. I used a ribbon bow at the waist and some black hearts on the dress to jazz it up a bit.  The Whisper White background was made using the hearts from S/U's Textured Impressions EB Folder.  Where the EB Folder overlapped and flattened the heart impressions when it was in the Big Shot I had to do a bit of extra hand embossing to bring the heart shapes back to life. I used the embossing folder to line up the impressions in the indented part of the embossing folder and a dry embossing tool. For my Finishing Touch I added some crystals on the sentiment. Enjoy! Hope you will join us this week.
