Today's post is for the Retro Sketch Challenge and The Play Date Cafe Colour Challenge this week.  I cut the flowers out and then slit around each petal so each one could be shaped after I embossed them.

CAS-ual Fridays Challenge #61 - Happy Birthday, Human

Merry Monday Challenges July - Xmas Stockings

Happy Monday Stampers,
Today's post is for the Merry Monday July Sketch Challenge.  We are to use one of the old sketches and reinvent them for the month of July. This week I have used #12, it fitted in nicely with my design. The Silver Christmas Stockings are Stickers that I applied to acetate and then cut out, it gives them a bit more dimension than just sticking them straight onto the card.  You can also add other bits of the stocking detail if you use this process. I used the Adorning Accents Die and Embossing Folder to create my Mantle piece and then added the arrangement, stockings and ribbon for decoration.

This card was awarded the Winner's Badge for Merry Monday's July Challenge.

Dynamic Duos #11 - Perfectly Chic

Hi there,
Today's post is for this weeks Dynamic Duos Challenge to use Pink Pirouette and Baja Breeze. These soft and pretty colours inspired me to create a Shabby Chic/Vintage Style card. I cut the base card in the shape of the Spellbinder Die and also the Mat on the front.  The paper bow is a die from Lil' Inker Designs.  I combined two MFT Royal Roses flowers cutouts to make the flower.  The flower and leaves have been sponged with Crumb Cake and spritzed with White Shimmer Spritz.

CASology #1 - Soak Up the Sun

This post is for the very first CASology Challenge. The challenge is all about creating a Clean and Simple Design and using the cue card word for the week as inspiration and interpret it however you wish, this week that word is SUN. I think my title sums up my thoughts especially with Doctors informing us that we aren't getting enough Vitamin D, but don't forget to Slip, Slop, Slap on the Suntan Lotion before you "Soak Up The Sun".

Dynamic Duos #10 - Flower Garden

Welcome,
Today's post is for the Dynamic Duos Bold and Sassy Challenge this week to use Old Olive and Rich Razzleberry plus Neutrals.  Lesley has prepared a colour swatch of the Neutrals that we can use for reference as shown on the Dynamic Duos blog and my sidebar. I was aiming for a CAS card this week, but it could be considered otherwise. LOL. I embossed 3/4 of the Whisper White mat card.  Cut out the Mini Royal Roses in white and sponged the edges with Rich Razzleberry.  Coloured in the Hello Blossom stamp with markers, attached the flowers and finished them off with some pearls.  Made the bow with my Bow Easy and stamped the sentiment using my Stamp-a-ma-jig.  For the inside I did some embossing with the Polka Dot EB Folder and the Scoring Tool on my Fiskars Trimmer.  Hope I have inspired you to give the challenge a go, Happy Stamping!

Dynamic Duos #9 - Flower Outlines

Happy Weekend Everyone,
This week's Dynamic Duos Colour Challenge is to use Crumb Cake and a Colour of your Choice, Neutrals are Ok too.  I went with Black as my colour of choice.  I used a Reverse Image stamp from Papertrey Ink - Text Boxed and stamped with Versamark, using White embossing powder on Crumb Cake card.  I matted the three images with a fine border of black card.

Retro Sketch Challenge #17 - New Arrival

Freshly Made Sketches #40 - Layered Flowers

Happy Monday Everyone,
Today's post is for the Freshly Made Sketch this week.  I changed the format to a Landscape design. I embossed the bottom layer, added the DSP, Punched out the row of Daiseys,  matted the ovals and stamped in black ink and coloured the image in with a White Gel Pen.  For the focal point I layered the whole flower and added parts of a Cheery Lyn Flourish, pierced the holes under the sentiment and added plenty of Pearls as my finishing touches.
