Happy Birthday Daughter!

Hello Friends,
Today's card was made for our eldest Daughter Natasha for her Birthday in May.  I used embossing paste to apply the hearts, and bright embossing powder on the flower, leaf and sentiment. I finished off with some clear sequins.  I love the CAS lines of my card with the pop of colour.

Merry Monday #113 - A Touch of Pink at Christmas

Happy Monday Folks,
It's time for another Merry Monday Challenge and this week Kathy is challenging us to use White, Pink and Silver on our cards.  I decided to try this neat technique I saw at Convention in Melbourne a couple of weeks ago as Demonstrated by Rachel Van Rij from New Zealand to use Alphabet dies to make a word stand out.  I Silver embossed the Sentiments and Christmas Tree and then coloured some of the Ornaments and Toys with three different Pink Markers.

Merry Monday #112 - Skiing Snowman

It's Monday and time for another challenge from Merry Monday and this week Karren is challenging us to Feature a Santa Hat on our cards. I went for a monochromatic colour scheme so the Santa Hat was featured, I distressed the edges of the focal image and embossed the mat.  Finished off with some Flower Soft and Twine.

Merry Monday #109 - Bonnie's Christmas Flowers

Hello Friends,
Today we have a new challenge at Merry Monday from Bonnie, who is challenging us to use Flowers on our Christmas cards.  I wanted to use my new WPlus 9 Fresh Cut Floral Stamps and Dies for my card this week and I created a spray of flowers and berries.  To complete each piece I die cut the pieces first and then stamped three times in three different colours.  I found it difficult to get correct placement of the stamps and so I placed the die cuts on a dark piece of card so I could see the die cut which made it easier for placement of the stamp. I also added the coloured embossing paste to the background and finished off with some Glimmer card, Sequins and Sentiment.

Pat Carr's Annual Stamp Camp - April 2014 - Love You Workshop Project

I went to Toodyay recently and caught up with some of my stamping friends and had a very fun weekend.  I made this card as a Workshop project to teach the Ladies how to do the One Layer Die Cut Inlay Technique.  There are a number of projects to show you but I haven't had time to write them up yet, but hopefully I can soon.  The word love and hugs and kisses are inlaid into the top layer to create a one layer card.

Merry Monday #107 - Christmas Bells

I used the designer paper as the focus for my card this week and gold embossed the Greeting.   I have double stamped the Greeting using a darker colour to make it stand out more.  I coloured the Pearls with my Burnt Sienna Copic Pen and added some Gold Foil card as a mat.

Happy Birthday Mark!

Hello Friends,
It's our Son's Birthday today and this is the card I made for him.  Water Colouring is very trendy at the moment and I haven't used this type of freehand painting so I decided to have a go. I Water Coloured the Background with Water Colour Paints on Water Colour Card. I stamped the Sentiment and Stars in Stazon Black and then used my Wink of Stella Clear Shimmer Brush to add some bling which is hard to see in the photo but looks fantastic in real life.

Merry Monday #104 - Christmas in the City



Hello Friends,

It's Monday and that means it's time for another Merry Monday Challenge.  Karen is challenging us to use the colours of Slate, Kraft, White or Cream on your card. I decided to do a City Scape and make it a Christmas card. After stamping the main row of buildings I added another row, stamping off before adding it to the background.  I then stamped the Lovely as A Tree image in Crumb Cake and added the Washi Tape and Sentiment to finish my card. Hope it inspires you to make a Christmas card and join the rest of the "Merry Makers" this week.

Mosaic Heart Anniversary!

Hi there,
Today's card is for our Son and his Wife's Wedding Anniversary this week.  I white embossed the Mosaic Heart using the stencil and Versamark Ink, then sponged Tim Holtz Distress Inks over the card.  Once it had dried I splattered water droplets with a paintbrush.  I created the sentiment on my computer, printed it out and finished off with some Silver Heart Confetti.  First time I have used my Distress Inks and Water to create a card, I love how easy it is to do and the WOW effect it creates.

I am also linking this card to Virginia's View Challenge #2 which is to use Stencils.
