Merry Monday #114 - Christmas Presents

Hello there,
Welcome to this weeks Merry Monday Challenge, where Katie is challenging us to use Sparkle Shimmer and Shine on our cards.  It took me a while to decide on how to go about my card this week, with so many possibilities and wanting to design a card outside the box.  So I literally went with the boxes (presents) visualising them laying on their sides and the top of the presents decorated facing us on the card.  LOL.  Hope my card gives you some inspiration.

Happy Birthday Daughter!

Hello Friends,
Today's card was made for our eldest Daughter Natasha for her Birthday in May.  I used embossing paste to apply the hearts, and bright embossing powder on the flower, leaf and sentiment. I finished off with some clear sequins.  I love the CAS lines of my card with the pop of colour.

Merry Monday #113 - A Touch of Pink at Christmas

Happy Monday Folks,
It's time for another Merry Monday Challenge and this week Kathy is challenging us to use White, Pink and Silver on our cards.  I decided to try this neat technique I saw at Convention in Melbourne a couple of weeks ago as Demonstrated by Rachel Van Rij from New Zealand to use Alphabet dies to make a word stand out.  I Silver embossed the Sentiments and Christmas Tree and then coloured some of the Ornaments and Toys with three different Pink Markers.

I went for a monochromatic colour scheme so the Santa Hat was featured, I distressed the edges of the focal image and embossed the mat.  Finished off with some Flower Soft and Twine.

Merry Monday #109 - Bonnie's Christmas Flowers

Hello Friends,
Today we have a new challenge at Merry Monday from Bonnie, who is challenging us to use Flowers on our Christmas cards.  I wanted to use my new WPlus 9 Fresh Cut Floral Stamps and Dies for my card this week and I created a spray of flowers and berries.  To complete each piece I die cut the pieces first and then stamped three times in three different colours.  I found it difficult to get correct placement of the stamps and so I placed the die cuts on a dark piece of card so I could see the die cut which made it easier for placement of the stamp. I also added the coloured embossing paste to the background and finished off with some Glimmer card, Sequins and Sentiment.

Pat Carr's Annual Stamp Camp - April 2014 - Love You Workshop Project

I went to Toodyay recently and caught up with some of my stamping friends and had a very fun weekend.  I made this card as a Workshop project to teach the Ladies how to do the One Layer Die Cut Inlay Technique.  There are a number of projects to show you but I haven't had time to write them up yet, but hopefully I can soon.  The word love and hugs and kisses are inlaid into the top layer to create a one layer card.
