Merry Monday #147 - Christmas Star

Happy Monday,
Today's post is for the Merry Monday Challenge this week and Bonnie is our Hostess.  Bonnie is challenging us to Use Stars on our cards.  I embossed each star and matted them on dimensionals on top of one another.  The background has been dry embossed with the Sizzix Lucky Stars Embossing Folder.  My sentiment is also embossed and the little stars are part of the stamp.  I finished off with a Pearl in the centre of the Star. One Layer Christmas Card Challenge #4 - Christmas Bells

Hi Friends,
It's Tuesday and that means we have a new challenge at One Layer Christmas Cards.  For this challenge Anything Goes and the Twist is to Use Bells.  Remember if you use the Twist Option you could win a prize.  I had purchased the Bells and Boughs Stamp Set from Papertrey Ink and loved this card by Maile Bells.  I wanted to try something a little different so I cased the idea to stamp the bells down one side from Maile with a few extra design elements added. I added the bow, crystals and a different sentiment, hope my card inspires you to join us for this challenge, and don't forget to check out the rest of the Design Teams fabulous cards.

Merry Monday #144 - Red Bow

Hi,
Welcome to another Merry Monday Challenge, Nina is Hostess this week and she is challengeing us to Use a Bow on our cards. I decided on a CAS design with a Red Foil Bow to match the DSP that I used. One Layer Christmas Card Challenge #2 R - Snowflakes

Hello Friends,
Today's post is a reminder for you to come and join us for the 2nd One Layer Christmas Card Challenge. My card is very CAS, I die cut the Sentiment and then embossed the front of the card with the Snowflake embossing folder.  I used double sided sticky sheets on the back of the sentiment and then carefully applied my two different layers of coloured glitter a bit at a time so I didn't mix the excess glitter together.

Merry Monday #143 - Carollers

Happy Monday Folks,
Time for another Christmas Card Challenge and this week Lori is our Hostess and she is challenging us to use a stamp with Music or Carollers. I decided to use this cute Penny Black Hedgehog stamp.  I coloured the image with my Blendabilities, and cut out the Music sheet they are holding and mounted it with Dimensionals. I found this DSP with the music on it that I received as a Secret Santa Gift.  The sentiment is part of the DSP and it was in the right place so I went with it.
The Design Team are so happy to see so many of you joining us in January to get a head start on your Christmas cards for this year, so we hope you can play along all year.

One Layer Christmas Card Challenge #2 - Lot's of Snow

Happy Tuesday,
Welcome to the second challenge at One Layer Christmas Cards.  This challenge is Anything Goes with an optional twist to use Snowflakes. If you enter cards with the twist, you get an entry into the monthly random drawing for a prize. 1 card with the twist = 1 entry; players can enter as many times as they want.
I put a thin mask down each side of my card and then embossed the Snowflakes with White embossing powder and sponged Iced Spruce Distress Ink over my embossed images. The Greeting was embossed with Pewter embossing powder and I finished with some pearls in the centre of the snowflakes.
