One Layer Christmas Card Challenge #6 R - Christmas Lights!

Hi there,
Today's card is a reminder that you still have time to play along this week with the latest One Layer Christmas Card Challenge which is to use Circles on your card.  For today's card I used different sized circle stamps and stamped them with Tim Holtz Distress Inks.  I finished off with a splattering of  Gold Smooch Spritz and embossing the word "Noel" with Gold embossing powder.

Craig's Birthday 2015

Hi there,
Our Son-in-Law had a Birthday this week and this is the Birthday card/Gift Holder that I made for him.  Craig loves to play Golf so that is the theme I went with.  I used the largest piece of the rolling hills as the Money Holder on the inside.

Merry Monday #151 - Look at Me Mum, Happy Christmas!

Today's post is for this weeks Merry Monday Challenge and Kathy is challenging us to Use a Tree on our Christmas cards.  I have a number of tree images and decided to go with this cute Fluffles image from Stampendous.  I coloured it with some retired Stampin Up colours and added some Dazzling Diamonds for some bling.  Hope you will join us for this weeks challenge and drop by the other Design Team Members for some added inspiration.

One Layer Christmas Card Challenge #6 - Bokeh Christmas

Hi there,
It's Tuesday and that means a new challenge at One Layer Christmas Cards. The challenge is always Anything Goes with an optional Twist which is to use Circles on your cards.  I decided to use the Bokeh technique that's very popular at the moment and a fun way to add Circles. I sponged Tim Holtz Distress Inks on my card to begin with and when they where dry I stamped my sentiment and added the circles using a stencil I made with some Spellbinder Nestability Circle dies.

Merry Monday #150 - Christmas Gifts

Hello Friends,
Today's post is for this weeks Merry Monday Challenge, Karren is our Hostess this week and she has challenged us to use Gifts on our Christmas cards.   I used an old Stampin' Up! retired stamp set called Crazy for Christmas.  I double layered a few of the presents and decorated them with different mediums. One Layer Christmas Card Challenge #5 R - Glittered Ornaments

Hey Stampers,
Today's post is a reminder that you still have time to play along with challenge #5 at the One Layer Christmas Card Challenge and this challenge is to use Glitter on your cards.  I punched out double sided adhesive ornament shapes so I could attach the glitter to my card and gold embossed the strings and sentiment. Merry Monday #149 - Christmas Stars

Happy Monday Everyone,
It's time for another challenge at Merry Monday and this week Debbie is challenging us to use Monochromatic Blues on our Christmas cards.  I wanted to design something a bit different this week and use a non Christmas stamp. Not sure I am in love with my background but I am satisfied that I tried.  I do love the sparkly cut out stars which I layered on white for dimension and the embossed sentiment in white on the Midnight Blue card.

One Layer Christmas Cards #5 - Christ the Lord

Happy Tuesday Everyone,
We have a new challenge at the One Layer Christmas Card Challenge today, Anything Goes and the Twist is to use Glitter on our cards. I stamped the image twice once on my card base and then on some Masking Medium.  I cut the image out of the masking medium and covered the white base card.  I coloured the image with Blendabilities and then stamped it with Versamark ink and added some Irridesent Ice Embossing Powder which is heat set to finish off.  I love how it turned out.

Merry Monday #148 - Joyful Christmas

Hello Stampers,
Today's post is for this weeks Merry Monday Christmas Card Challenge.  Deanne is the Hostess and she is challenging us to use Red and Green on our cards. I stamped the sentiment and dry embossed the background with Petals A Plenty embossing folder and then stamped the flower and leaves and white embossed them.  The flower is layered with dimensionals and I used yellow pearls in different sizes to finish off the centre of the flower.  I love the red, green and white colour palette.

Grand Piano

Hello Stampers,
I was asked to make today's card by a Friend. I used some dies to get the shape of the Piano and the Word Window Punch for the keys.  I trimed the round ends of the White Piano Keys.  The Music is only two rows so I repeat stamped it for the background.  I coloured the flowers and leaves with Tim Holtz Distress Inks. The "Happy Birthday" is from S/U's It's Your Birthday Stamp Set.  This is the first time I have made a Piano card and I am very happy with how it turned out.  Hope you like it too.

Merry Monday #147 - Christmas Star

Happy Monday,
Today's post is for the Merry Monday Challenge this week and Bonnie is our Hostess.  Bonnie is challenging us to Use Stars on our cards.  I embossed each star and matted them on dimensionals on top of one another.  The background has been dry embossed with the Sizzix Lucky Stars Embossing Folder.  My sentiment is also embossed and the little stars are part of the stamp.  I finished off with a Pearl in the centre of the Star. One Layer Christmas Card Challenge #4 - Christmas Bells

Hi Friends,
It's Tuesday and that means we have a new challenge at One Layer Christmas Cards.  For this challenge Anything Goes and the Twist is to Use Bells.  Remember if you use the Twist Option you could win a prize.  I had purchased the Bells and Boughs Stamp Set from Papertrey Ink and loved this card by Maile Bells.  I wanted to try something a little different so I cased the idea to stamp the bells down one side from Maile with a few extra design elements added.
