Heartkids Fundraiser in Memory of Marthea Widdicombe - Project #1

Hello Friends,

On the 3rd of April 2022 I attended a Fundraiser in Memory of Marthea Widdicombe who passed last year.  The Fundraiser was organised by Pat Carr with help from a number of friends from the stamping  community.  Marthea loved her stamping and was collecting a very large number of products in preparation for her Retirement.  When Marthea passed her Family was presented with the difficulty of disposing of all the items she had purchased and Pat along with Dale, Marthea's stamping buddy offered to organise a Fundraiser that could be held to raise funds for a worthy cause.  The Family agreed and over 70 Ladies attended and $10,078.00 was raised for Heartkids.  We made 8 cards on the day, all prepared from product that Marthea had bought and over the next few days I will post the cards we made.  There was also more stamps, designer paper, dies and embossing folders etc. that could be purchased, plus raffles and games that helped to raise the money.

CAS Mix Up Challenge Reminder July 2022 - Things With Wings - Pink Robin

Hi Stampers,

Todays post is a reminder that you have until the 24th of July to join us for this month's challenge hosted by Linda.  

I stamped the bird and water coloured it using Markers and an Aqua Painter, made a mess on the first image and did it again and ended up Fussy Cutting both images using the Bird's head and full body of the second image mounting the head on Dimensionals.  The Frame was dry embossed and I added a fine border using Night of Navy.  The Sentiment was White embossed on Black card and mounted with Foam tape.  For the inside I stamped part of a Bird image and water coloured it to match the front of my card.

Celisa's 50th Birthday

Hello Friends,

Our Niece Celisa turned 50 on the 16th June.  This is the card we gave her which I stepped up a bit by adding the Gold Foil 50 stacked on whisper white card and some Splatters of Gold Ink.  This card was used for the July CAS Mix Up Challenge.  I Loosely water coloured the flowers on Whisper White card, and used Water coloured card for the Dragonfly and then Fussy cut it and attached using Dimensionals.  The Sentiment was stamped and then edged with the black ink border for some more dimension.

CAS Mix Up Challenge - July 2022 - Things With Wings - Dragonfly

Hello Friends, 

It's a new month and time for a new challenge at CAS Mix Up.  This month Linda would like us to use Water colouring with a theme of  "Things with Wings".  I stamped my flowers and the butterflies with Black Stazon ink and then Loosely water coloured them.  The Dragonfly was water coloured with Daffodil Delight, Crumb Cake and Pumpkin Pie and then fussy cut and mounted on dimensionals.  The Sentiment was stamped and then I drew a border around it for some extra dimension.

Loll's Birthday

Hi Crafty Friends,

We are helping our lovely friend Loll Thompson celebrate her Birthday today and this is the card I sent her.  I coloured this beautiful digi image from Marcella Hawley with Copics and then splattered some gold delicata ink when it was finished.  The tag was coloured with Copics and then stamped and attached with Dimensionals and a piece of twine.  Happy Birthday Loll!  Wishing you a wonderful day and year.

Inside of card: I printed and coloured the flower and leaves and then Fussy cut them adding some splatters of gold ink to finish off.

CAS Mix Up Challenge - June 2022 - Pastes/Gels - Geared Up

Good Morning,
Today's card is for the CAS Mix Up Challenge for June and Loll is asking us to use Pastes/Gels with a Stencil on our cards.  I used Silver embossing paste on black card with a Carabelle Studio stencil for the challenge.  I stamped a light grey background stamp under the car, stamping the car with Stazon Black and the Sentiment too and then attaching both with dimensionals.  I die cut a few cogs for the inside of my card.  I hope you will join us this month as our challenges commence again for this year.  We welcome Julie and Darnell as our Guest Designers.

Jessica's 13th Birthday 2022

Hi everyone,

Our Grand Daughter Jessica is officially a teenager today and celebrating her 13th Birthday. Yayeeeee...! Unfortunately all of her Birthday plans have had to be rescheduled due her contracting Covid last weekend, she is very disappointed and will have to wait till a later date.  Jess will also miss her first day of this year's school camp but her parents intend to take her to the school camp on Tuesday if she is okay.

I stamped the background with the Silver Shimmer ink and then used an old Credit card to add the black lines, finishing it off with some splatters in three different colours.  I die cut the numbers out five times and stacked them for dimension.  The sentiment was heat embossed with silver embossing powder on black card and the sneakers and ear phones were stamped and coloured with a Marker.  I finished off by adding some Wink of Stella for some added bling and detail.
