Pat Carr's Shoebox Fundraiser 2023 - Project #1 - Happy Birthday

Hello Friends,

In August 2023 I attended Pat Carr's Shoebox Fundraiser, we made 7 cards and a Gift Box on the day.  The first four cards were designed by Carolyn King who helped Pat with the preparations.  They raised over $5,000 for the Shoebox Fundraiser which pays for Christmas boxes to be posted all around the World for disadvantaged children. This is the first project in the series, and I will post the rest on a daily basis. Enjoy!

Hello Stampers,
Today's post is the card we gave our Granddaughter Keira for her 16th Birthday on Boxing Day.  I used S/U's Broadway Birthday stamp set and dies to create the card.  I crimped the Goil Foil in the center and added her name and the sentiment finishing off with the Crystral's around the edge.  The background was dry embossed, and I used the designer paper to give the card some bling.

Christmas Presents

Hi Crafty Stampers,

Today's cards were made for two of our Granddaughter's for Christmas, Kaela and Keira.  I sponged the presents and then coloured the decorations with Copics.  I added some die cuts and dry embossed the background with an embossing folder from Lisa Horton Crafts called Under the Mistletoe. The sentiments were Hot Foiled.

Bringing Home the Tree

Happy Christmas everyone,

This is the card I gave the Men in the family for Christmas.  I used S/U's 3D embossing Folder for the mat and placed a Real Red Mat behind that.  The image was stamped and coloured with Copics and I used just the tree stamping twice on the inside.  The Sentiment was stamped with Real Red and Versamark adding Gold E/Powder for two different finishes.  I also layered the sentiment die cuts for more dimension.

Underwater Christmas

Hi there,

Today's card was a special request for a Christmas card.  I was asked to include an Underwater Scene, Dolphin and a Diver and this is what I came up with.  The Dolphin die is a bit larger than I wanted but I still think it works.  

I started by smooshing the Tumbled Glass Distress Ink onto the card front.  Then I stamped and fussy cut the rest of the items for the scene from Designer Paper.   I stamped the sentiment and added the Gems to finish off the front and also added some smooshing and a Turtle to the inside of my card.

Movie Buff Christmas

Hello Stampers,

Today's card was a request from a Friend for a card for his Son who is a Movie Buff.  I printed the poster from the Internet and matted it on the red card.  The background was dry embossed with the 3D embossing folder.  I stamped and fussy cut the aero plane.  The Sentiment was Hot Foiled which I attached as if a Banner had been placed on the poster.  I finished off with a picture of Alfred Hitchcock on the inside as requested.

Today's card was made for our daughter in law for her Birthday.  I cased it from Julia Quinn who also cased it for the Blog Hop and Card Challenge (Casing the Catty).  I changed the dimensions and colours to change it up a bit.  The front of the card has an Acetate Clear Panel, and I Fussy Cut the flowers and Leaves and attached them on the Acetate.  The inside is stamped with flowers and makes a pretty card.

Today's card is for our Grand Son who is turning 13. He loves to play Pokémon on the computer and that is the theme I went with for his card. I downloaded a colouring page and resized it on the computer and printed and coloured it in with a few Markers.  I layered the Happy and thirteen three times for some dimension.
