Today's post was for The Paper Players Challenge this week. Unfortunately I have missed the Deadline due to my Modem dying and not being able to access the Internet and I have only just sorted my DH's computer too! arrrrrrrrrgh....... I decided to still post my card and link it to The Paper Players Challenge Blog, now that I have one of the computers operating (My Computer and DH's Internet). My card was cased from my dear friend Jenny Chilton, but I have changed a lot of the supplies to make it my own. I thought the Dashing Designer Paper I used made my card look like a wrapped present that had been decorated with a Poinsettia Flower. The Flower was made using the leaves from Stampin' Up's French Foliage stamp set and spritzed with a Alcohol and Shimmer Mist mixture that you mix yourself. The top layer of petals are raised on the tips by using dimensionals to make it more 3D. I reversed the Dotted Scallop Ribbon and used the stamp-a-ma-jig to offset the greeting. Let me know if you like it.
Supplies:
Stamps: S/U's French Foliage, Curly Cute
Card: River Rock, Real Red, Very Vanilla, Dashing DSP (R)
Ink: Cherry Cobbler, Mellow Moss (R)
Embellishments: Crystals, Cherry Cobbler Scallop Dots Ribbon, Alcohol and Shimmer Mist Spritz
Tools: Stamp-a-ma-jig, 1 3/4" Circle Punch, Dble Sided Tape, Dimensionals
Thanks' for dropping in today.
Hugs,
Oh Susan, I know how frustrating computer woes can be! Your card is fabulous! I have seen the poinsettias made, but never had the patience to cut out all those leaves! I love your take on the card....just looks like a gift waiting to be opened! Thanks for playing with us even if you were a tad bit late!
