Today's post is for the new Challenge Blog that Lesley Croghan has started "Seize the Birthday". Lesley is having a Linky Party and the blog starts on the January 10th next year. There will be a rotation of Male cards one week and then Female cards the next. My card is for my husband. This is the first image I have tried to colour with my Prismacolour Pencils and coloured card. I think its OK what do you think? I lightly sponged the Woodgrain embossed base and for the inside I used Confetti White and stamped off the focal image and the splotches from French Foliage before stamping on the card.
Supplies:
Stamps: Inkadinkado Reading PA 97121-P, S/U's Happiest Birthday Wishes, French Foliage
Card: Crumb Cake, Cherry Cobbler, Confetti White
Ink: Stazon Timber Brown, Prismacolour Pencils
Finishing Touches: Brad
Cool Tools: Stamp-a-ma-jig, Big Shot, Sizzix Square Lattice E/Folder, Sizzix Woodgrain E/Folder, Large Oval Punch, Mat Pack and Piercing Tool, Sponge, Dble Sided Tape, Dimensionals
Thanks for your visit today.
Hugs,
I am thinking wine would be a perfect way to celebrate a birthday :) I love the way you've done up the sentiment banner with the funky tab!
ReplyDeleteGreat masculine card and LOVE your beautiful coloring with the Prisma Pencils! So very lovely.
ReplyDeleteThanks for joining in the Link Party at Seize the Birthday!!!

Lovely card and great colouring. Yesterday Jennifer McGuire (in the US) posted a video about different inks and pencils, copics etc. and she showed some Prismacolour pencils. I then remembered my arty sister gave my daughter a set of 24 Prismacolours a few years ago so I am keen to try them. Your coloured picture has inspired me even more to do so!
ReplyDeleteAwesome card and I love the fonts on the sentiment!
ReplyDeletefantastic card!! love that image :)
ReplyDeleteSo glad you joined us for our first link party on Seize the Birthday.
Looking forward to seeing you for our first challenge in Jan :)
You have done ace with your colouring using the pencils. Love that tree bark effect too. Looking forward to this new challenge starting up. Hugs Mrs A. #51
