Today's card was my swap at our Up line meeting this week. We were to use a Thinlits Die and I chose the Circle Thinlits Die with an extended flap. I wanted to use my Gingham Wheel and Kind and Cozy Stamp Set and create a country themed card. I used the Sizzix Stripes embossing folder and embossed in two different directions to make a basket weave effect and the vase of flowers from Tea Party was coloured with markers direct to the rubber stamp and huffed and puffed before stamping. I finished off with some Pool Party Satin Ribbon and the sentiment was stamped and punched out with oval punches.
Supplies:
Stamps: S/U's Kind and Cozy, Tea Party, Gingham Wheel, WetlandsCard: Pool Party, Whisper White, So Saffron
Ink: Pool Party, Coastal Cabana, Daffodil Delight, So Saffron, Wild Wasabi
Finishing Touches: Pool Party Satin Ribbon
Cool Tools: Big Shot, Circle Thinlits Die, Scallop Oval Punch, Large Oval Punch, 2 1/2" Circle Punch, Sizzix Stripes E/Folder, Stamp-a-ma-jig, Dble Sided Tape, Dimensionals
I have changed my Header this week to a Christmas Version, hope you like it.
A big Thank You to Gemma, my latest follower and to all my followers for their lovely comments, they are much appreciated.

Susan, I am doing a bit of blog hopping this morning and came upon yours. Love it and your cards are beautiful. You have inspired me to make a friend's 65th birthday card. Love your Flip Flop card and the one with Joyful Christmas ?? with the poinsettia. I have bookmarked your blog. Hope you will come by and visit me on my blog, but it's a work in progress. I have become your newest FOLLOWER. TFS!
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty Thinlits card, Sue! I love the gingham wheel and the way you've used the embossing folder!
