This week Deanne is our Hostess at Merry Monday and she is challenging us to Use a Bird on our cards. I have used the beautiful bird and holly stamp from Stampin' Up's Beautiful Season. I have had this stamp set since it first came out and I don't think I have inked it up until now, no idea why as it it a lovely image. I used Blendabilities to colour the image. I still need a bit of practise when I go outside the lines to clean up but I find the colour bleeds very easily. The mat colour Primrose Petals is a bit off, much brighter in the photo than it really is, it does match the Pinky Red in the DSP. I used a crystal for the birds eye and the Early Espresso Bakers Twine for some added interest. The sentiment is popped up on dimensionals and stamped with Always Artichoke. Hope you can join us this week, we would love you to play along.

What a rich and beautiful image - you really brought it to life and it looks fabulous against that background pattern - great card, Sue!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card and beautiful colouring! I find that Whisper White causes bleeding with alcohol inks so I try and avoid that combination when I can.
