Twofer Card Challenge #13 February 2019 - Stars

Hi Friends,
My cards for today are for the February Twofer Card Challenge and the theme is Stars.  I used a stencil from Simon Says Stamp called Falling Stars as the common image.
On the Birthday card I used Wendy Vecchi Metallic Silver Embossing Paste on the background The background of the space card was Smooshed with Distress Inks and then embossed with the Metallic Silver Embossing Paste.  It was then cut with a stitched Rectangle Die and matted with Basic Black.  The images where watercoloured, die cut and mounted on Foam Tape.  The sentiment is White embossed on Basic Black Card.  I added a bit of the background to the inside with another stamped and watercoloured image.
The Bear is a layered 3 Step Stamp, I fussy cut the bear and blue bow.  The Background stars were sponged with Balmy Blue Ink and the white matt behind the bear is dry embossed with the Lucky Stars E/Folder. I finished off the inside with the sentiment and little Bear in Smokey Slate.

  1. Susan, your twofer entries are fabulous. They are so different. Your galaxy card has fabulous colors and swirls. Your die cuts ontop are sweet. The baby/bear card is so soft and elicits an awwww. The dry embossed starts add a lovely texture to your panel.

  4. I love these! My son just made a galaxy cake for his daughter's birthday; she is all about outer space right now, so your card makes me smile! Beautiful background with those sweet little silvery stars. And that baby card is adorable. Such a cute teddy bear, and those stars in blue make this perfect for a baby card. Thank you so much for joining us at the Twofer Challenge. Bev
