Welcome to a new challenge at CAS Mix Up. I am Hostess this month and I thought it might be fun to try Layered Stamping with Embossing Powders + Stamping + Your Choice. It was a technique that I had not tried before and I enjoyed creating my card and using some of the Embossing Powders I have in my stash. The Roses have been created using some old layering stamps from Kitchen Sink and I used 4 different colours of embossing powder to create them. The leaves have 3 layers of embossing on them. I love how this gorgeous rose looks. I double stamped the sentiment too, once in black and then heat embossed with gold to create a shadow and finished off with some Sequins.
Thanks to Bozena for being our Guest Designer this month.

Wow ....what a stunning result using the layering technique. The colours are fabulous together, so unique and so very striking. What a striking card x.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful texturing layered effect. I love the transition thanks to the merging of different embossing powders. A scrumptious beautiful card dear Susan. I must admit, this technique made me scratch my head ....ALOT, but what fun and full of surprises. Thanks for hosting this new to me technique! xx
ReplyDeleteA great challenge that I wouldn't have tried otherwise, Susan. Your rose is beautiful! Love all these colors.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a great technique Sue! So happy you have us layering our heat embossing this month! Your flowers are absolutely gorgeous ... and leaves too! Fun challenge. xx
ReplyDeleteStunning card Susan! I love your choice of colours!! I'm going to have a play with this technique now:)
ReplyDeleteYou achieved a fantastic result with this technique, Susan! Layering 4 colors is tricky (I tried it and the bottom layer melted into the surface colors...), and yet your roses look so crisp and pretty! The sentiment with a shadow effect looks very cool! Thanks so much for choosing this fun challenge!

This technique is fascinating. My first thought would be completely different, but when I tried this technique, I'm delighted. Thank you for this choice. And your rose is simply amazing. I love how you imposed the colors. It reminds me of Andy Warhol's paintings. Very artistic look.
