Hello friends,
It's time for a new challenge at CAS Mix Up and this month Coni would like us to use Alcohol Inks on Vellum. I used my Stampin' Blends and Diggers 100% Isopropyl Alcohol Medium to make my background. I die cut the flowers and leaves, die cutting the flowers twice, once with white cardstock and the other with vellum. I coloured the vellum with the Stampin' Blends, glued the two pieces together and added a third Night of Navy die cut for the center. The Sentiment was stamped and heat embossed with White E/Powder and punched out using the Classic Label Punch. I finished off with Pearls and a Faceted Gem.
Thanks for dropping by today, lovely to see you here.
Hugs,

ReplyDeleteThis is stunning, your navy foliage really enhances the effect of the soft alcohol background. I love it xx
ReplyDeleteI'm so envious...I tried for that wispy background over and over again and never achieved it. And those flowers are simply gorgeous. Perfect counterpoint to the ethereal background. Beautifully adorned with faceted center and pearls.
ReplyDeleteThis is absolutely the prettiest wash of color across the front of your card, Susan. The look of it is so pretty in the colors you chose and the perfect control of the inks it illustrates. It's beautiful with your flowers.
ReplyDeleteYour wispy alcohol ink background turned out beautifully, Susan. Loved your colors and how you added pretty die cut flowers with the same colors. Such a fun challenge:-) Love and Hugs...Nancy
