Hi there,

This post shows the projects that the Ladies and three sweet young girls completed last weekend. I have been trying a different lighting setup and these photo's unfortunately have a yellow hue, so the colours are not true.

Stampin' Up! Convention Swaps

I am finally back with some projects to show. I was organising a workshop last week, so I have a few posts to follow this one. I have also been experimenting with my lighting to take photo's of my cards. Not totally happy with them yet, so it is a work in progress. I used an Ottlight but the colours are not good, but there is more definition in the pictures and you can tell if I have used dimensionals.

The following card and set of four mini cards are Make & Takes from the Stampin' Up! Convention in Canberra.

Stamps: Circle Circus, Trendy Trees
Card: Bashful Blue, Kiwi Kiss, Pacific Point, So Saffron, Tangerine Tango, Whisper White
Ink: Pacific Point, Tangerine Tango, Versamark
Accessories: C6 Whisper White Envelope, Kiwi Kiss Grossgrain Ribbon, Silver Brad, Button Latte 1 White button, 2 Way Glue Pen, Mini Glue dots,Stampin Dimensionals, Paper Cutter, 1/2", 1" &1 3/8" Circle Punches, Mat Pack & Piercing Tool

I used the set of four cards for a Make & Take at a Workshop at the weekend in Dalwallinu. The cellophane packet is used to create a gift holder for the cards. All the Ladies at Dalwallinu enjoyed making this cute set.

I made these cards so I could make a wedding card for a customer. She wanted Bride and Groom outfits on the card. I needed to make a smaller version of the suit, which I have done , but sadly now the wedding has been called off I haven't completed the card yet. Hopefully soon. I found the instruction's on Splitcoast under Jackie Topa's blog, via 2bighouse74 and JenD . Thank's Ladies!!

Splitcoast Card Sketch SC232

Another one for today, just catching up with my challenge post's. Can't make up my mind on a sentiment for this one, so I will complete it when I know who is going to receive it. (Does anyone else have this issue when they make a card?) Had some fun with this sketch, tried to add another colour but kept coming back to the Gold and Black, which I like.

I stamped the Kimono on the gold metallic card and then embossed with black. The embossing on the Kimono is shiny and the rest of the black card is matt, so it stands out. the strips at the top and bottom of the card are the scraps from punching the Scalloped Edge.

Stamps: SU Calming Garden, Kimono both retired sets
Card: Black, Metallic Gold
Ink: Versarmark
Accessories: Gold EP, Black EP, Cuttlebug, Provo Craft Vintage Borders, SU Corner Rounder Punch, SU Scallop Edge Punch, Dimensionals

I have used a Stampin' Up! Set called "C is for Cat" that only appears to be in the Australian Idea Book & Catalogue for 2009-2010. This is a really cute set. I blinged it up with some pearls and a mini green crystal for the eye from Taylored Expressions.

Stamps: C is for Cat, P is for Paw Standard Wheel
Card: Black, Basic Grey, Whisper White, Going Grey, Urban Garden DP
Ink: Basic Black, Basic Grey
Accessories: Ribbon, Pearls, Mini Crystal, Scallop Circle Punch, 1 3/8" Circle Punch, 1 1/4" Circle Punch, Cutter Tool, Mat Pack & Piercing Tool, Dimensionals

Inkspirations Colour Challenge #8

Hello there,
It's finally raining, which makes it a most perfect day here, we really need the rain. This is my contribution to Makeesha's Inkspiration Colour Challenge #8. The colours are bright and really harmonize together if balanced correctly.
I added a bit of bling to the small flowers, and raised the three larger ones on dimensionals, hard to tell in my photo. Do you like my sweet bow? I used my newly acquired Bow Easy which makes it very easy to make them so small.
Key Ingredients:
Stamps: Baroque Motifs, It's Your Birthday
Card: Pumpkin Pie, Whisper White, Bali Breeze DP
Ink: Pink Passion, Pumpkin Pie, Certainly Celery, Whisper White
Accessories: Cuttlebug, Swiss Dots EB Folder, Brads, Stickles, Ribbon, Martha Stewart Doily Punch, Bow Easy, Dimensionals
Have a nice day,

Convention Swap Case

Hello,

I cased this card from a convention swap I received from Marelle Taylor (Hi Marelle). I thought Marelle's was very pretty and I like the combination of colours. I have added the daisy flower to make a background for the base and put the chocolate chip section through my Cuttlebug. I have also added a different sentiment, designer paper, ribbon and pearls.

Stamps: Fifth Avenue Floral, Happy Birthday is from a Hero Arts Clear Set Cupcakes
Card: Baja Breeze, Chocolate Chip, Kraft, Whisper White
Ink: Baja Breeze, Sahara Sand, Chocolate Chip
Accessories: Large Oval Punch, Chocolate Pearls, Ribbon, Eyelet Border Punch, Cuttlebug, Swiss Dots EB Folder, Dimensionals

Enjoy!! Hugs,

SC231 Purple Coneflower

Hi there,

I have been busy organising my shorter length's of cut ribbon, with the Ribbon Ring Tags from Pink Hedgehog. It certainly makes a difference, it is so easy to see what I have and use the ribbons for my projects. I previously had them filed in draws and boxes, mind you it took me four days to complete the task, with other cleaning and chores thrown in. Besides creating some order in my stamping room I have also made a few cards. This one is for last weeks Splitcoast Card Sketch SC231.

Stamps: Inspired by Nature, Sanded BG
Card: Old Olive, Regal Rose, Whisper White
Ink: Certainly Celery, Regal Rose, Close to Cocoa, Lovely Lilac, Always Artichoke, Old Olive Markers
Accessories: Small & Large Oval Punches, Pearls, Old Olive Ribbon, Computer to generate Sentiment

Hope you like it!

Inkspiration's Sketch Challenge #8

Hello there,

I have been busy today making two, yes two card's for Makeesha's Sketch Challenge #8. Both have a slight variation on the original sketch for the focal point, but I have followed the sketch for the rest of the layers.

For the first card the top layer is raised on dimensionals and Mother Teresa's words are actually on a layer underneath. Unfortunately my camera hasn't picked this up in the photo. I cut the oval shape with the Cuttlebug and Oval Nestabilities and while the Nestabilities shape was still in place I used my Gelly Roll Pen to outline and accentuate the oval shape on the pink card. I used the eyelet border punch to punch the corner on the focal piece of card and do the border on the other layers.

Stamps: Echoes of Kindness, Occasional Greetings, En Francais BG
Card: Pink Pirouette, Basic Grey, Whisper White
Ink: Regal Rose, Versamark, Regal Rose, Rose Red, Pink Pirouette & Cranberry Crisp Markers & Re-Inkers
Accessories: Cuttlebug, Oval Nestabilities, Swiss Dots EB Folder, Sponge, Gelly Roll Pen, Pearls, Ribbon, Silver EP, Stamp a ma jig, Aqua painter, Eyelet Border Punch, Dimensionals

For the second card I used the Colour Chart, looking for some different colour ideas. I thought the colours were a bit weird to start with but they have grown on me, and I like the finished result. I used the Watercolour Technique for the rose and I really love how it turned out. I then made the leaves with my crimper. The rose is raised on Dimensionals.

Stamps: Fifth Avenue Floral, Cheer & Wishes, En Francias BG
Card: Bravo Burgundy, Handsome Hunter, Apricot Appeal, Ivory Metallic
Ink: Versamark, Apricot Appeal, Bravo Burgundy, Rose Red, Real Red Re-Inkers for the rose
Accessories: White EP, Crimper, Cuttlebug, Birds & Swirls EB Folder, Scallop Edge Punch, Mat Pack & Piercing Tool, Horizontal Slot Punch, Ribbon, Stamp a ma jig, Aqua Painter & Spray Bottle
