Hi there,
Thanks for dropping by, lovely to see you here!

CAS Mix Up Challenge Reminder - October 2018 - Metal - Black Ice

Good Morning,

Today's post is a reminder for the CAS Mix Up Challenge  which closes on the 24th of October  and we are to Use Real or Faux Metal to design our cards.

This was the first time I have tried the "Black Ice Technique" and it was a lot of fun and very easy to do.  Instead of doing all my stamping on the Black Ice piece of card I decided to use Die Cuts as part of my focal point after stamping the Pine Trees and embossing with the Clear Embossing Powder and heat setting it.
Mix Up: Black Ice Technique, Stamping, Die Cuts, Heat Embossing, Punching
Supplies:
Stamps: S/U's Wonderland, Happy Scenes
Card: Thick and Thin Whisper White, Basic Black, Silver Foil
Ink: Stazon Black, Versamark
Cool Tools: 3/4" Circle Punch, Big Shot, AL Dies, Clear E/Powder, Heat Tool, Stamparatus, Dble Sided Tape, Foam Tape, 2 Way Glue Pen

CAS Mix Up Challenge - October 2018 - Metal - Little Black Hen

Hi Friends,

I have some exciting news for you, I have been asked to be a Designer by Loll Thomson and Bonnie Klass for the CAS Mix Up Challenges and this is my first post with the Design Team.
For my card today I made a Mask so only part of the Wire Netting could be stamped on my card base. I Silver embossed the Wire Netting, Punched and Die Cut the pieces for my Hen, coloured the Metal with Alcohol Inks and the Hen's Wing was punched, layered and then embossed with the Faux Metal Technique.   I snipped the Hen's Metal Tail with scissors.  I assembled the Hen with Glue Dots and Foam Tape and finished off with S/U's Metallic Pearls.  The  Hen inside my card was stamped, water coloured and fussy cut and then attached.  To finish off I stamped and punched the sentiment.

CAS Mix Up Challenge - September 2018 - Ink Stamps with Markers - Beautiful Rose

Hello Cardmakers,

Today's post is for this month's CAS Mix Up Challenge to Ink Your Stamps with Markers + Stamping+ Your Choice. I chose this Artistic Rose from Penny Black colouring it with Stampin' Up Markers using three colours for the flower and two colours for the leaves.  I then stamped the Sentiment and splattered the three colours I used for the flower using my Aqua Painter which created a soft splatter.  For the Inside I coloured the stamp with markers and then used my Aqua Painter to add a bit more colour to make the flower and leaves appear a bit more solid.

Twofer Card Challenge #9 - September 2018 - Leaves

Hi there,
I made two more cards for the Twofer Card Challenge this month. I was lucky to have two different sized Hibiscus stamps in my individual stamp sets for my first card, which I love the colours of all the different greens and the yellow and red flowers.  The background was sponged through some plastering drywall tape, great stuff, tacky on the back so it gently sticks and stays in place until you finish sponging. The second card is fashioned on a Monstera plant on a Trellis with a Vertical Sentiment.  I stamped the leaves with Versamark and Gold embossed them.
