Hi Paper Crafters,

Today's card is for our eldest Daughter's Birthday today.  I stamped the flowers, water coloured them and stamped the Humming bird.  For the Humming Bird I added colours direct to the stamp with markers and then spritzed lightly with water and stamped.  I added a yellow wash around the images and when dry splattered some Delicata Gold over the panel.  I used the Rectangle Stitched Die to add some interest and popped up the center panel on some fun foam.  I finished off with the Birthday sentiment and decorated the inside too.

CAS Mix Up Challenge Reminder - May 2021 - Rainbow Ink Blended Colours - Rainbow Bubbles

Hello Crafters,
This is the reminder for May's CAS Mix Up challenge advising that you have until the 24th to join us.  I am Hosting and I want you to use a Stencil and colours of the Rainbow for Ink Blending. 

For my card I made my own Stencil using Circle dies on a piece of Acetate and blended the Distress Inks with Make Up Brushes.  I finished off with a stamped and heat embossed sentiment and punched it out with the Classic Label Punch.

Jessica's 12

 Hi Friends,

Our Grand daughter Jessica is Twelve today and this is the card we gave her.  Jessica's Parents have organised a new bed for her so that's why the inside is fashioned on a bedroom.  Jess is into dancing and received some beautiful dancing pictures for her last Birthday so the front represents those with the images stamped with Versamark and embossed with Melon Mambo E/Powder.  The 12 and Sentiment have been designed with Copper Foil and Copper E/Powder.

The inside of the card is made with Designer Papers, Copper Foil, a punch, stamped and coloured pillows.  The lamp base is a scent bottle from the Best Dressed DSP series and a hand cut shade.  I added some Enamel Hearts to the front of the Side Table

CAS Mix Up Challenge - May 2021 - Rainbow Ink Blended Colours - Fairy Dust

Hi there,

Just letting you know that you have until the 24th of May to submit your cards for this months CAS Mix Up challenge.  I am hosting and would like you to use Stencils with Rainbow Ink Blended Colours.  This was the first card I tried using Eileen Godwin's technique for applying Distress Inks making my own straight edge stencil from acetate and then using a Funky Fossil stencil that I received from Loll on top of that.  Thanks Loll!  I stamped the Fairy and Sentiment with Stazon Black Ink and Gold embossed the Fairy Dust.

CAS Mix Up Challenge - Rainbow Ink Blended Colours - May 2021- Rainbow Birds

Hello Friends,

It's the 1st of May and time for a new challenge at CAS Mix Up, which I am hosting and challenging you to Use a Stencil and blend ink colours of the Rainbow.  I used Papertrey Ink's In the Meadow die to make a stencil.  I blended Tim Holtz Distress Inks with my Make Up brushes and then used Simon Says Falling Snow Stencil over the top.  After die cutting the Birds I coloured them with the different distress ink colours and a Copic marker on the branch and mounted them with a black silhouette to give them more dimension.  I finished off with the Sentiment stamped in Black ink and repeated my steps for the inside.

Mark's Birthday 2021

Hello there,

Today's card is for our Son's Birthday today. I started with the Graffiti Background and then embossed the piece with S/U's Brick Wall E/Folder and sponged the edges with Basic Grey Ink and the edges of the embossed bricks.  Stamped and coloured the Cool Dude and die cut the image.  Stamped the Sentiment with Stazon Black Ink.  For the inside I used S/U's Wonderfully Worn background, only inking around the edges so that I had a frame.  Sponged the edges with Basic Grey and finished off with the Sentiment from S/U's Word Play.

Fiona's Birthday 2021

Hello friends,

Today's card is for our youngest Daughter Fiona who is celebrating her birthday today.  I arranged the flowers, stamping and masking as I went on Watercolour card and then coloured them with Distress Inks and an Aqua Painter.  I splattered some watered down Worn Lipstick and Iced Spruce when I had finished painting the background with Bundled Sage and Iced Spruce.  I finished off by stamping the sentiment and die cutting the Stitched Rectangle in the middle of my front panel, raising it up with some layers of card and then adding some pearls.

Craig's Birthday 2021

Hello Papercrafters,

We gave this card to our Son-in-law for his Birthday this month.

I started by using the plain embossing paste and then coloured the embossing past with Crumb Cake and Soft Suede Re-inkers so I had a monochromatic look to the bricks.  Stamped the images, coloured them in and then sponged Crumb Cake  on the wine bottle label and sign.  The Bottle top and Label are also Gold heat embossed. I filled in the edge of the sign with a black pen.  The sentiment was stamped with Versamark and White Heat embossed and then sponged with Soft Suede ink.

Kaela's 16

Hello Friends,

Our eldest Grand daughter turns 16 today and this is the card we gave her.  Kaela loves to play golf and is doing very well at it and recently played Pennants with three other girls and they  won the competition.  Kaela only lost one of her games throughout the competition.

I stamped the trees in different shades of green after I sponged the background with make up brushes and Distress Inks.  The lady, golf buggy and one of the small bushes were fussy cut from the Country Club Designer Paper.  The rest of the design elements are die cuts, the pine trees where fussy cut after stamping and the 16 was stamped on the die cut flag.  The sentiment was gold Heat embossed to finish off.

I inked up my die cuts with three different colours of green using re-inkers for more intense colour.  then spritzed with water and stamped on my Whisper White card.  I used one of the die cut's as the main focal point when it was dry.  I also stamped the inside of my card in the same way.
