Today's post is for The Play Date Cafe Challenge this week. This was an interesting colour challenge and first thoughts where to make a male card, especially after taking into consideration the featured picture but I decided to try for a more feminine card. For the flowers I used Riding Hood Red and Basic Grey ink. The Basic Grey really makes the red pop. I sponged and distressed the edges of the main image with the Cutter Tool and stamped off the background elements a couple of times and then used my Colour Spritzer Tool to add the splatter of colour. I like how it came together.
This card was awarded the Cream in Our Coffee Award at the Play Date Cafe this week.

ReplyDeleteThis is really lovely. That splattered background goes so well with those flowers and I love that you stretched yourself to make something feminine with these colors. Thanks for joining us at The Play Date Cafe this week.
