Stampin' Up! Regionals' Perth 2011

Hope you have enjoyed your weekend, I certainly did at Stampin' Up! Regionals' in Perth. It was a fabulous informative day with some really nice swaps and lots of fantastic presentations.  I made five different lots of cards for my swaps, but only finished a couple of cards for two of them, but that was okay because I put them on the Display Boards so everyone saw them.  I used the four different images from Need for Speed for four of the cards and the Beautiful Butterfly Die for the fifth.

Freshly Made Sketches #2 - Marina Pizzazz - The Paper Players Clean & Simple Challenge #64

Hello Friends,
Today's post is for the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge and The Paper Players Challenge this week.  I had a big order arrive on Friday and have been dying to use some of my new toys.  Had a few distractions over the weekend, our youngest Grand daughter Jenna came to visit.  I also started to catalogue my stamp sets so I know what I have on hand and can use some of them instead of them gathering so much dust.  Gosh it's a big job, I had photocopied the stickers of a lot of the sets as I received them but I still have heaps to do on the ones I forgot to and the second hand ones.  I also need to make some swaps for Perth Regionals next weekend so I probably won't being doing a lot of challenges this week.  Anyway I have managed to do this challenge stamping the flower outlines, and then filling in the flowers by using the stamp-a-ma-jig and the stamp for this flower, rocked and rolled the butterfly and ruffled the Seam Binding Ribbon, let me know if you like it, I am loving these new images.

Just Add Ink #84 - White + Colour of Your Choice - Red Rose

Happy Wednesday Everyone,
Today's post is for the Just Add Ink Colour Challenge this week.  I have used Poppy Parade as my colour of choice with white.  I adore the rose image from S/U's Fifth Avenue Floral, so I have embossed the outline with White embossing powder on Shimmery White cardstock and watercoloured the image and painted it with a re-inker and aqua painter.  The colours are always so soft and pretty.

Pals Paper Arts #110 - Fashion Inspiration - Bewitched - Three Faces of Halloween

Hi there,
Today's post is for the Pals Paper Arts Challenge this week.  Unfortunately Halloween is not huge in Australia, so I only have a few Stampin' Up! Halloween stamps that are all retired.  Love the inspiration photo, so I made a fun card showing three faces of halloween. I created the sentiment on my computer.

Freshly Made Sketches #1 - Happy Anniversary

Hi there,
Today's post is for a new challenge called "Freshly Made Sketches" that I have just found.  I need an Anniversary card for the end of September, so I created one to meet the sketch requirements using a few punches, embossing folders and some stamping.  I used Stazon Black to ink the main image and then used my blender pen to remove the black ink and coloured directly on the stamp with my real red marker to achieve the red hearts on the glasses.

This card was awarded the Perfect Princess Badge at Freshly Made Sketches.

The Play Date Cafe Colour Challenge #98 - Boy's Overalls

CCMC#165 - Falling Leaves and The Paper Players #62 - Theme Challenge - Birthdays

Hi Folks,
Today's post is for the Create With Connie and Mary Colour Challenge and The Paper Players Theme Challenge this week.  This card uses basic stamping skills, some sponging around the edges, a punched lace strip and some die cut leaves.  The ribbon was thread through the lace ribbon strip and I tied a bow and added it to the die cut leaves with a Mini Glue Dot.  The leaves are taped together and mounted on dimensionals. 

This card was awarded a Top Pick at Create With Connie and Mary this week.
