Fiona's 40

Hello Friends,
Our youngest Daughter turns 40 today and this is the card we gave her.  Happy 40th Birthday Fiona!

I used Designer Paper for the background, stamped the flowers die cutting some of them and fussy cutting the rest.   I stamped the Crumb Cake card with the Hardwood BG, punched them out with the Classic Punch and sponged the edges.  Finished of by Gold embossing the Sentiment and Die cutting the numbers.  I die cut, stamped the flower and water coloured it on the white mat for the Greeting.

CAS Mix Up Challenge - April 2020 - Bleaching - Red Floral

Hi Friends,
It's the 1st of April and time for a new challenge at CAS Mix Up.  Loll is Host and would like us to use Bleach on our cards.  We welcome Mac as our Guest Designer for April.
I followed Jennifer McGuire's Video for this card.  I sponged the Panel with Tim Holtz Distress Ink Barn Door and Fired Brick, then I clear embossed the flower image and Bleached the petals and centre of the flower being careful not to use much bleach as I found it would creep under the embossing and remove the red ink and my image lost some of it's definition.  I love how the petals have a marbled look and I was able to use the stamens as a contrast.  I stamped the sentiment with Barn Door Distress Ink and added the Red Sequins.  The white mat is dry embossed with Sizzix's Ruffled E/Folder.

CASology #364 - Tea + Freshly Made Sketches #427

Hello Friends,
I am playing along with the CASology Challenge #364 cue card Tea and Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #427 today.
I gold embossed the Tea Cup, Flower and Sentiment images and water coloured the main images with Markers and an Aqua Painter.  The strip of Designer Paper has a Mat of Gold Foil and I cut a Lacy Doily in half to add more interest.  I finished off with the mounted sentiment and Pearls.

CAS Mix Up Challenge Reminder- March 2020 - Acrylic Paint - A Work of Art

Hello Everyone,
March's challenge is the Fourth Birthday Celebration of the CAS Mix Up Challenges and we are Celebrating with prizes to be won so check it out and play along with us.

Acrylic Paints are a new Medium for me, I have not used them in card making or art and craft before. I tried Trick #3 by Teela Cunningham and I love how my attempts turned out.  I used 5 colours of Acrylic paint for my background. I stamped the Water Lillie's with Memento Black, coloured them with Copics and Heat Embossed the Sentiment in White on Black card.

Today I am posting the card I made for our Great Niece Kaitlyn for her 21st Birthday yesterday. The party theme was Black and White Dress for the Guests and Kaitlyn wore Red.
I stamped the blossom off before stamping on the white card giving a lighter impression, the Eifel Tower die cut was layered 3 times.  I finished off with the Gold Numbers, Designer Paper, Greeting and Sequins.

CAS Mix Up Challenge - March 2020 - Acrylic Paint - Paris

Hi Stampers,
This month we are celebrating the 4th Birthday of CAS Mix Up and there are Prizes to be Won by joining us and playing along.

This month Jenny wants us to use Acrylic Paint on our cards.  There are some fabulous videos on the Challenge Blog if you need some Inspiration.  I haven't used Acrylic Paints in card making so this was a new Medium for me to try.  I used three colours for my background, I wanted a more abstract look, I used an Old Plastic card but only had one attempt that had the look I wanted but it was too small for my card so I used the best of an ordinary bunch.  I like how my card came together in the end.  I layered the tower and the greeting 3 times, stamped the postage marks and added some silver splatters.
