Camp Lavendale - Project #9 - Flowers of Friendship

Good Morning,

For today's project we heat embossed the image with White E/Powder, painted the image with watered down White Craft Ink and when that was dry we coloured with Stampin' Blends.  The white dots in the background were created with a White Gel Pen.

Camp Lavendale - Project #6 - Tile Coaster

Project #6 is a Tile Coaster using Stampin' Blends for the colour and 100% Isopropyl Alcohol as the blending solution. Unfortunately I removed the tape from around the edge before I sprayed on the fixative and I did get some bleeding of the colours.

Camp Lavendale - Project #5 - Cabouchon Necklace - Vellum Technique

Project #5 is a Cabouchon Necklace.  We used Stampin' Blends, Vellum and 100% Isoprophol Alcohol to colour and move the ink around.  When it was dry we applied Crystal Effects to create the gold detail.  I used Calypso Coral and Bermuda Bay on the vellum.

CAS Mix Up Challenge - August 2021 - Stamping through Stencil - Beautiful Flowers

Hello Friends,

It's time for a new challenge at CAS Mix Up, Jenny is Hostess this month and she is challenging us to use Stamping through a Stencil.  I used Artplorations All Blooms Stencil, a large flower stencil with plenty of space to stamp through. I sponged Distress Inks in different colours and then stamped the Script stamp over the top.  I cut and shaped my piece and then added a white mat and then attached it to the card base.  I finished off with a Sentiment and Sequins.  The piece on the inside was an off cut from the front and matted with mauve card.

We Welcome Chrissie Stokes (Simply One of A Kind) to the CAS Mix Up Family as a Design Team Member and Bobby (Bits and Pieces) and Michelle (I Card Everyone) as our Guest Designers this month.

Camp Lavendale - Project #1 - Magical Unicorn

In June I attended a Stamping Camp at Lavendale Farm, Gilgering near York hosted by Pat Carr.  We had a lovely time with 24 Projects to complete.  The accommodation was spread between a number of fully contained cottages with a Reception room for our workshop and meals.  All beautifully presented by the owners Katherine and Merv Taylor. 

I will be posting the Projects over the next few weeks.

CAS Mix Up Reminder - July 2021 - Alcohol Ink on Vellum - Punched Butterflies

Hello there,

It's time for the reminder post for this month's CAS Mixed Media Challenge.  Coni is challenging us to use Vellum and Alcohol Inks for this month's challenge.  I used Stampin' Blends Alcohol Markers for my Butterflies on Vellum, which gave a soft wispy look.  I stamped the image and embossed it with Gold E/Powder and then coloured with Stampin' Blends.  The sentiment was also Gold embossed on Vellum and I added some Mini Rhinestones to the flowers.  To finish off the inside I heat embossed a leaf sprig, die cut, stamped and coloured the flowers and added another butterfly.

CAS Mix Up - July 2021 - Alcohol Ink on Vellum - Wispy Background

Hello friends,

It's time for a new challenge at CAS Mix Up and this month Coni would like us to use Alcohol Inks on Vellum.  I used my Stampin' Blends and Diggers 100% Isopropyl Alcohol Medium to make my background.  I die cut the flowers and leaves, die cutting the flowers twice, once with white cardstock and the other with vellum.  I coloured the vellum with the Stampin' Blends, glued the two pieces together and added a third Night of Navy die cut for the center.  The Sentiment was stamped and heat embossed with White E/Powder and punched out using the Classic Label Punch.  I finished off with Pearls and a Faceted Gem.

CAS Mix Up Challenge Reminder - June 2021 - Flight - Aircraft

Hello Friends, 

I started with an Acrylic Block using two shades of blue Markers scribbling ink onto it and then spritzing the block with water and stamping. I then stamped the image three times and water coloured the images.  The edges of the stamped block were a bit ragged so I layered a stitched frame three times and added it to the stamped area.  I stamped the aircraft, water coloured them in red and fussy cut adding foam tape to the two on the front. I stamped the sentiment and finished off by adding another plane on the inside of the card and sponging some Bashful Blue ink for the sky.

CAS Mix Up Challenge - June 2021 - Flight - Queen Bee

Hello there, 

It's a new month and time for a new challenge at CAS Mix Up.  Viv is Hostess and challenging us to use Flight as our prompt with Water colouring as the main element of your card.  We welcome Joyce (Cards-by-the-Sea) as our Guest Designer.

I painted two shades of Yellow Distress Ink on the water colour card.  Die cut the Honey Comb and then layered the Honey Comb three times to give it some stability.  I placed yellow card behind the die cut.  I splattered some Gold ink and stamped the sentiment.  I stamped the bees, die cutting the Queen Bee and Fussy Cutting the others.  I coloured the bees with a Marker and Aqua Painter.  For the inside I stamped the Bee Hive, splattered some more gold ink and added the stamped, coloured and fussy cut bees.

Natasha's Birthday 2021

Hi Paper Crafters,

Today's card is for our eldest Daughter's Birthday today.  I stamped the flowers, water coloured them and stamped the Humming bird.  For the Humming Bird I added colours direct to the stamp with markers and then spritzed lightly with water and stamped.  I added a yellow wash around the images and when dry splattered some Delicata Gold over the panel.  I used the Rectangle Stitched Die to add some interest and popped up the center panel on some fun foam.  I finished off with the Birthday sentiment and decorated the inside too.
