Monthly Calendar March, 2011 - Happy St. Patrick's Day

Hi Stampers and Scrappers,
Today's post is my Calendar for March.  I have themed it around St. Patrick's Day.  My eldest Grand-Daughter Kaela is born on the 17th of March and so was my Father.  Due to a lack of interest I am no longer offering a Linky Tool or a Monthly Challenge.  I will be creating my calenders as a challenge to myself, hoping to improve my scrapping skills, which was the original idea behind starting the challenge.
Supplies:
Stamps:  Pure Innocence 4 Leaf Clover, S/U's Kiss Me (R), Shapes and Shadows (R)
Card and Papers: Basic Black, Whisper White, Pattern Papers Pack II (R), Prints Sampler (R)
Ink: Wild Wasabi, Garden Green, Certainly Celery, Real Red, Basic Grey, Blush Blossom, Blushing Bride
Embellishments: Cat's Calendar Template - Splitcoast Stampers, White Satin Ribbon
Tools: Big Shot, Spellbinders Labels Ten Nestabilities, Sponges, Aqua Painter, Dimensionals, Computer and Printer, Multi Mat
Thank's for swinging by today.

Monthly Calendar Challenge February 2011 - A New Decade

Hello Friends,
I have made this months calendar to celebrate my Birthday and the fact that I am entering a new decade in my life.   February 14th is Valentines Day, and my husband and I also celebrate our 38th Wedding Anniversary on the 5th so I have added a couple of embossed hearts. My Zodiac Sign is the Water Carrier so I am an Aquarian and my Birthstone is an Amethest so I used Whisper White, Lavender Lace and Concord Crush for my colour combination.
As I have had no one participate in my challenge last month I have decided not to set a theme this month (I am wondering if I am making it to difficult for you to come up with ideas, I would appreciate some feed back). I have noticed that lots of visitors to my blog visit my monthly calendar posts and check them out, so there is some interest. So for the moment I will continue to indulge myself and keep Inlinkz open if you would like to add your own February calendar.
Supplies:
Stamps: S/U's Party Hearty, Simple Serif Alphabet and Numbers, Artee Stamps SP517H Brush Presents, Amazing Creations D752 Present, Papertrey Ink Piece of Cake
Card and Papers:  Whisper White, Lavender Lace, Concord Crush, Patterns Print - In Colours  DSP
Ink: Concord Crush, Versamark
Embellishments: Pearls
Tools:  Big Shot, Provo Craft Deb Devine EB Folder, Scalloped Heart of Hearts Embosslit, Classic and Scalloped Rectangle Nestabilities, Carl Craft Balloon Punch, S/U's Small Heart Punch, Stamp-a-ma-jig, Dimensionals, Embossing Buddy, White EB Powder, Heat Tool, Sponge, Computer and Printer, Dry Embossing Styliss, Fiskars Paper Edgers Stamp

Thank's for stopping by today.  Let me know if you like it. Happy Stamping!

Monthly Calendar Challenge January, 2011 - Scrap with Numbers

Hi Stamper's and Scrapper's,
It's a New Year and I am going to continue with my Monthly Calendar Challenge's and hopefully inspire all of you to join in.  One of my New Year resolutions is to create a monthly calendar for the whole year in 2011, I missed a couple of months last year but I made two calendars for most of the other months. This year I will aim to do one per month and therefore hopefully last the distance, but I need you to participate and spurr me on.

Rules for this year are to follow the theme for the month and do a 6" x 6" scrap page, link it to my Inlinkz domain from your blog or other source of publishing so that everyone can check them out.  The challenge will finish on the last day of each month at Midnight Western Australian time, Inlinkz will advise you when the link is closed. I am organising a Badge to advertise the challenge and a TopPick or Winners Badge, depending on the number of entries I receive.  As an added incentive I will offer Blog Candy at different times of the year, which will be open to everyone.

For January 2011 the theme is Numbers.  Just add some numbers wether it is in the form of a calendar or as part of your design. Can't wait to see what you come up with!!

For my January calendar I have created a vintage theme using numbers and time, which is a very traditional idea for the count down to the New Year and something that most of us stay up for just so we can Welcome in the New Year.
Supplies:
Stamps:  S/U's Sense of Time, Artistic Etchings
Card and Papers: Very Vanilla, Basic Black, Shiny Metallic Silver, Newsprint DSP,
Ink:  Stazon Black, Basic Grey
Embellishments:  Brads, Metal Studs, Black Satin Ribbon
Tools:  Large Oval Punch, 1" Circle Punch, Big Shot, Timeless Junior Alphabet Dies, Dimensionals, Piercing Tool, Computer and Printer, 2 Way Glue Pen, Sponge, Jones Gloop Glue, Gelly Roll Pen, Cat's Calendar on Splitcoast Stampers Forum under Downloads, then Templates
Edited to Add: I display my calendars on a stand in the clear Page Protectors that SU have in their catalogue for the 6" x 6" Linen Post Albums.  If you refer to my post here I give details on how to make a stand with the dimensions. I do a page for each month throughout the year, the idea being that I hope to improve my scrappin skills.  Last years pages will be kept in a Linen Album for display purposes and ideas for workshop participants and some of them could be altered and photo's added.
The blog candy for January includes some clear stamps, stamp pad and ribbon and some cotton Bakers Twine which is all the craze at the moment in America. I just received my supply yesterday. So to be able to win the Candy Do a Calendar Page, become a Follower of my Blog, or leave a Comment on this Post.
I hope you can join in and have some fun scrappin!  If you want some more inspiration check out the other calendar's I designed last year. Thank's for visiting my blog.

Monthly Calendar Challenge - June 2010

Hi there,
Todays post is for my Monthly Calendar Challenge for June.  I have been tied up with a few other projects this month, so I am sorry for the delay in posting.  I would love for you to play along.
This months challenge is Winter.  Anything to do with the Winter season, wether it is Hot Chocolate, Hot Soup, Bad Weather or being dressed for the Winter elements, it's all about Winter. Can't wait to see what you come up with.
I have made a Winter scene.  I used my brayer to colour the gloss card and then stamped the Lovely as a Tree image.  I touched up the sky a bit more with ink and a sponge dauber and then clear embossed some rain drops on the scene.  I  cut out an acetate Top Note Shape which I stamped the word Winter on  with Black Stazon. I attached it with Crystal Effects which unfortunately is too visable for my liking.
Supplies:
Stamps: Lovely as a Tree, Season by Season (R), Rainy Days (R)
Card and Paper: Basic Grey, Ballet Blue, Whisper White, Glossy White, Patterns Paper II (R), Clear Acetate
Ink: Old Olive, Always Artichoke, Bashful Blue, Going Grey, Basic Grey, Stazon Black, Versamark
Embellishments: Old Olive and Brocade Blue Grossgrain Ribbon
Tools: Big Shot, Top Note Die, Clear EB Powder, Heat Tool, Brayer, Computer and Printer, Dimensionals, Crystal Effects
Don't forget to link you design to my blog.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Monthly Calendar Challenge - May 2010 - Just Add Ink #14 - Just Add Vintage

Hi there,
Today's post is for my Monthly Calendar Challenge for May.  As Mother's Day is in May and maybe it's your Birthday, Anniversary or another special occasion it is always lovely to receive flowers so:
The theme for May is Say it With Flowers.
I designed my first calendar to fit in with the Just Add Ink #14 - Just Add Vintage challenge
It is the first time I have made these frilly flowers out of punches and I have used the Scallop Circle Punch and the Boho Blossom largest flower for the smaller flowers. For the larger flower I used 8 punched shapes and five for the smaller ones.  I pleated the kraft strip of designer paper and used the sewing machine to add some stitching. I stamped off the Medallion stamp once before stamping onto my card and sponged all the edges to add some age.
Supplies:
Stamps:  Medallion, Vintage Vogue, Very Vintage Jumbo Wheel
Card and Paper:  Kraft, Very Vanilla, Brocade Blue, Bella Blue DP
Ink: Soft Suede, Sahara Sand, Brocade Blue
Embellishments: Pearl Brad, Silver Brad, Pearl Buckle, Bluebird Ribbon (R)
Tools:  Big Shot, Labels 4 Nestabilities, Multi Mat, Sponge, Dimensionals, Scallop Circle Punch, Boho Blossoms Punch, Eyelet Border Punch, Sewing Machine, Mat Pack and Piercing Tool, Computer and Printer
For my second calendar I used Flourishes Chrysanthemum's  from a set called "Calendar Set 3". I love to work with red and white as a colour theme.

Supplies:
Stamps: Flourishes Calendar Set 3
Card:  Real Red, Whisper White
Ink:  Stazon Black
Markers: Real Red, Mellow Moss, Always Artichoke, Bashful Blue
Embellishments: Crystal Brad, Crystals, Real Red Ribbon
Tools:  Big Shot, Blossom Nestability, Computer and Printer, Crop-a-dile, Martha Stewart Arch Punch, Dimensionals, Aqua Painter
Unfortunately my challenge for April had no takers, so I intend to continue with my own calendars hoping to inspire some of you to join in.
I hope you have enjoyed my calendars for May, I enjoyed creating them, let me know if you like them.
Happy Stamping,
Hugs,

Monthly Calendar Challenge - March 2010

Hello Everyone,
Time for another Monthly Calendar Challenge. The 1st of March is the beginning of Autumn in the southern hemisphere. The leaves are changing colour on the deciduous trees and begin to fall, the paddocks turn green after some much needed rain and the weather is a lot milder.
So the theme for March is Autumn.
My calendar's are very traditionaly Autumn, so I will be very interest to see how you interpret this month's challenge.  For my first calendar I have used one of my cute cat images from Whipper Snapper Designs. I stamped the image three times and coloured them with my markers and aqua painter. The heap of leaves was cut out and raised on dimsensionals for a 3D effect, then a few leaves here and there were cut out and layered on top . I embossed the Provo Craft Leafy Branch down one side of the calendar and coloured it with Stampin' Pastels.  I used the Martha Stewart Arch Lattice Border punch  for a border on the designer paper then applied it with the ribbon and brads. After creating the calendar in Publisher I attached it with dimensionals.
Supplies:
Stamps: Whipper Snapper Designs Fall Fun Kitty
Card and Designer Paper: Very Vanilla, Holiday Treasures DP, Pumpkin Pie
Ink: Stazon Black, Creamy Caramel, More Mustard, Really Rust, Certainly Celery, Old Olive, Basic Grey, Pretty In Pink Markers, Stampin' Pastels
Embellishments: Ribbon, Brads
Tools: Mat Pack and Piercing Tool, Martha Stewart Arch Lattice Punch, Dimensionals, Aqua Painter, Cuttlebug, Leafy Branch EB Folder, Computer and Printer
I was only going to do one calendar for March until I saw the cover of the new Stampin' Up! Autumn/Winter Mini Catalogue. I love the colours used so I based this calendar on the cover. It would have been wonderful to have the new products to make this one, but I had to improvise with some retired stamp sets.  I found the quote on the Internet and reproduced it on a tag. I wanted to highlight the A of Autumn so I used my Cuttlebug and Olivia Alphabet, cut two in different colours one lighter than the other and layered them which made the A pop.  Some of the leaves were inked up with Versamark and dusted with clear embossing powder and then heat set.  Others were inked on the versarmark stamp pad and then inked on coloured stamp pads to create a more autumn effect, dusted with embossing powder and heat set.  I used the air brush (spritzer) and markers to dirty the tag and calendar up a bit and the cutter tool and some scissors to make the edges rustic. The background was embossed with Provo Crafts Forest Branches EB Folder. I curled the leaves with a pencil and attached them with dimensionals.
Supplies:
Stamps: Fantastic Foliage (R), Botanicals (R)
Card and Designer Paper:  Ruby Red, More Mustard, Always Artichoke, Very Vanilla, More Mustard, Ruby Red Markers
Ink: Versamark, Ruby Red, Always Artichoke, Close to Cocoa
Embellishments: Jumbo Button Latte, Chocolate Stitched Ribbon
Tools: Crop-a-dile, Dimensionals, Cutter Tool, Scissors, Pinking Shears, Computer and Printer, Colour Spritzer Tool
I would love you to join in my Monthly Calendar Challenge, so c'mon and have a go and let me know which one you like most.
Thanks for stopping by today,
Hugs.

Monthly Calendar Challenge - February 2010

Hi there,
It's time for another Monthly Calendar Challenge.  Of course February is a special month with a lot of love in the air as it includes Valentine's Day. For me it is more than that as I celebrate 37 years married to my wonderful husband and it's also includes my Birthday. This February we will have another special event to celebrate as we welcome a new Grandchild.

Edited to Add:  I have also linked this post to the Just Add Ink Challenge - Just Add Hearts, my two Calendar pages fit the Challenge.

So drumroll.........................

February's Monthly Calendar Challenge is - Love and Romance.

Love and Romance for me means Red Roses, Chocolates and lots of Love, my husband is a true romantic and has always spoilt me throughout our marriage at this time of year.  I have made two Calendar's for February's challenge.  For the first one I tried to keep it simple and a definite border around the edge.
Supplies:
Stamps: SU's Priceless, I (Heart) Hearts, Penny Black - The Look of Love 2815K, Artee Stamps - AS666B Hugs and Kisses, Love Unknown
Card & Paper: Whisper White, Real Red, Pretty In Pink

Embellishments: None
Tools: Friskers Heart Edge Punch, SU's Heart to Heart Punch, Window Word Punch, Corner Rounder Punch, Stamp-a-ma-jig, Computer and Printer, Cat's Calendar Template from Splitcoast, Sponge, Dimensionals
The second one appears a lot busier so I aimed for a less is more approach.  I made the calendar in Microsoft Publisher and I very happy with the result, I can now change the colours and font size easily.
Supplies:
Stamps: SU's I (Heart) Hearts, A Happy Heart, For the Love of Chocolate (R)
Card & Paper: Riding Hood Red, Pink Pirouette, Whisper White, Bella Rose DP
Ink: Riding Hood Red, Chocolate Chip, Pink Pirouette
