Perfect Sentiments Challenge #1 - Lacy Sympathy - Lenten Rose

Today's card is for a new challenge blog called Perfect Sentiments.  The challenge this week is to make a Sympathy card and add Lace too.  I used the Lenten Rose Stamp Set from Flourishes and watercoloured it for a soft look and I love it.

CCMC#169 - Still Life

Happy Wednesday Everyone,
Today's post is for the Create With Connie and Mary Colour Challenge this week.  I have kept it clean and simple.  I have used two strips of the punched Lace Ribbon to add a shadow effect.  Also used the Scallop Oval Punch as a Table Mat  which has been embossed with the Square Lattice Punch.  The vase has a light strip up the side of it on the right, could be a ray of light, couldn't have designed it better LOL, but it happened when I stamped it, I think it added to the design.   This card was featured on Paper Punch Addiction on 6/10/2011.

Just Add Ink #87 - Window View

Today's card is for the Just Add Ink Colour Challenge this week.  Something a little bit different today I used Pool Party for the Clouds, Sea and the Leaves and tried to create the view from a Window and hopefully it would look something like this.  It was fun putting the card together, let me know if you like it.

The Play Date Cafe #101 - For You

Hi there,,
Today's post is for The Play Date Cafe Challenge this week.  This was an interesting colour challenge and first thoughts where to make a male card, especially after taking into consideration the featured picture but I decided to try for a more feminine card.  For the flowers I used Riding Hood Red and Basic Grey ink.  The Basic Grey really makes the red pop. I sponged and distressed the edges of the main image with the Cutter Tool and stamped off the background elements a couple of times and then used my Colour Spritzer Tool to add the splatter of colour.  I like how it came together.

This card was awarded the Cream in Our Coffee Award at the Play Date Cafe this week.

CCMC Holiday #1 - Boo!

Hi there,
Today's card is for the Create With Connie and Mary Holiday Edition 2011 Challenge  I had to use some creative licence to make this card, we aren't big on Halloween in Australia and I don't have a lot of access to anything Halloween, just a couple of retired stamp sets.  I made the witches hat on the Owl, gave him some wings, cut the Pumpkin from DSP and created the Sentiment on my Computer.  It was a fun card to create, let me know if you like it!  This card was featured on Paper Punch Addiction on 30/9/2011.

Just Add Ink # 86 - Speed Boat

Hi there,
Today's post is for this weeks Just Add Ink Sketch Challenge.  I rocked and rolled the Extreme Elements stamp with Pool Party and Island Indigo.  Water coloured the boat image and mounted it with Dimensionals. The other images are also water coloured and punched out with the 1" Circle punch and matted on a 1 1/4" Circle Punch with a piece of Pool Party Ruffled Ribbon underneath.

This card was given an Honourable Mention at Just Add Ink this week.
