The Play Date Cafe #113 - For The Newlyweds

Hi Stampers,
Today's post is for The Play Date Cafe Colour Challenge this week. I made a flower using the Flower Folds Die and the Itty Bitty Flower Punch for a different flower centre. I punched out the Scallop Dotted Ribbon in Very Vanilla and then cut it in half to make the border on the vertical piece of Designer Paper.  I used the new Velvet Ribbon and some Pearls as the Finishing Touches. I think the colours are stunning and I really love how this card came together, so soft and pretty.

This cards was featured on Paper Punch Addiction on 21/1/2012.
This card was chosen as one of the Fab 4 at The Play Date Cafe this week.

The Friday Mashup #40 - Happy Birthday to You!

Hi Friends,
I can now reveal that I have been asked to be one of the January Guest Designer's for The Friday Mashup Challenges. A big thank you to the Design Team for giving me the opportunity to join them.
So come and join in the fun and have a go at this week's Mashup challenge.
The "Mashup" Challenge:
1. Make a "Birthday" project.
2. Or Make a project using "Pastels".
3. Or "Mash It Up" and create a "Birthday project using Pastels".
I used Ranger Perfect Pearls as my Pastels and coloured the car from Stampin' Up's Need For Speed Stamp Set. I framed the focal point using the Top Note Die and Oval Dies for the frame. I crimped the Crumb Cake with a Crimper and then draged the Early Espresso Stamp Pad over it and sponged the edges. For the Sentiment I mixed Perfect Pearls and Clear Embossing Powder together and heat set it with my Heat Tool. I used Bakers Twine, a Button and Shiny Gold Pearls as my Finishing Touches.

I tried to capture the shine on the car from the Perfect Pearls and this photo shows it best.

Just Add Ink #99 - Christmas Money Holders

Hi Friends,
For today's post I am showing you some Money Holders that I made for Christmas for Family members and the Just Add Ink Challenge - Just Add Fancy Packaging this week.  They are very quick and easy to make for a last minute gift.  I cut my card base at 7" x 6 1/2" and scored  across the longer side at 2 3/4" and 5 3/4".  I then punched the edge and cut the Designer Paper for the front at 2 3/8" x 6 3/8". I sponged the punched edge with Craft White and Gold Pigment Inks and then embossed the Merry Christmas on the front.  The Belly Band is 1 5/16" x 7" scored at 3 3/16" and 6 3/16" approximately.

Supplies:
Stamps:  S/U's Occasional Greetings (R)
Card and Papers: Basic Black, Early Espresso, Chocolate Chip, Gold Metallic, Mocha Morning DSP, I Wish Simply Scrappin Kit (R)

Santa's Hat Box

Hi Stampers,
Today's post is to show you this very cute Santa's Hat box that I made to give to some family and friends.  I found the tutorial on Fran Sabad's blog.  I intend to fill it with cards and tags, but it would be fabulous for chocolates, stamping goodies etc.  I did alter the outside layer measurements to fit the C6 envelopes, made it higher (6 5/8" instead of 5 3/4") than the original and added some of the new Glitter Card for the Pompom.  Also the second diagram of instructions I think the width measurement for the box should be 4 3/4" instead of 4" as stated, because in the notes Fran mentions that piece of card as being 4 3/4" x 12".  Hope that makes sense!! I did have some 12" x 12" card on hand, but you could use A4 card to make the box.  I only used the 12" x 12" for the box on the inside.

Supplies:
Card:  Real Red, Whisper White
Embellishments: Silver Glitter Card, Real Red Gross grain Ribbon, Silver Brads, Silver Cord
Tools:  1 3/8" Circle Punch, Fiskars Trimmer and Scoring Tool, Ruler, Pencil, Dble Sided Tape, Velcro Tab
Hope you like it.
Thanks' for dropping in today.
