The Friday Mashup #42 - Red Butterfly

Hi Stampers,
This is my third week as Guest Designer at The Friday Mashup.  There is a tutorial at Splitcoast Stampers that shows you how to Paper Pierce around curved corners or a circle. Worth watching , this was a first for me and a lot easier than I thought it would be so I have learnt something new today.  I also Paper Pieced my flowers by stamping on Designer Paper and cutting them out. Love the look and I think it adds some dimension to the flowers with the variation in colour.

This weeks Mashup is to:
1. Do some Paper Piercing or
2. Use Blushing Bride, Riding Hood Red and Early Espresso as your colours
3. Or Mash it up and use both.
I have used both with a touch of green.
Supplies:
Stamps:  S/U's Fabulous Florets, Creative Elements, Elegant Greetings (R)
Card and Papers: Very Vanilla, Early Espresso, Riding Hood Red, In Colour Patterns Pack DSP, Well Worn DSP
Ink: Early Espresso, Riding Hood Red, Stazon Black, Wild Wasabi
Finishing Touches: Pearls
Tools: Stamp-a-ma-jig, Big Shot, Sizzix Frame Oval Scallop, Vintage Wallpaper EB Folder, Mat Pack and Piercing Tool, Fiskars Trimmer and Scoring Tool, Dble Sided Tape, Dimensionals

Just Add Ink #100 - Just Add A Crown - Crown of Hearts

Hello Friends,
Today's post is for the Just Add Ink Challenge this week to Just Add A Crown for their 100th Challenge.  I had not played with my Simply Adorned Charm goodies so I decided to have a play and use it for the challenge.  After a few practise goes and much searching for stamps that would suit, I had some fun putting the bits and pieces together. I could see it being quite addictive and time consuming (depending on the amount of detail you wanted to incorporate) creating little pieces of art to put inside the pendant.

This photo shows the detail on the 2.5 x 3.2 cms (1 1/4" x 1") pieces of card.

Supplies:
Stamps: S/U's French Foliage, You're A Gem, Clearly For You, Forever Young, Lovely Letters Alphabet, Silhouette Sentiments (R)
Card:  Whisper White, Basic Grey, Cherry Cobbler
Ink: Stazon Black, Sahara Sand, Basic Grey, Cherry Cobbler
Finishing Touches: Pearls, Black Crystal, Vanilla Pearl, Trinket Crowns
Tools: Big Shot, Sizzix Embosslits Beautiful Wings, Stamp-a-ma-jig, Sponge, 2.5 x 3.2Cm Simply Adorned Charm, 61cm Chain
Thanks' for stopping by today.

Perfect Sentiments #14 - Snow Covered Trees

Hi Stampers,
Today's post is for the Perfect Sentiments Challenge this week.  We were challenged to make a Sympathy card with an Inspiration Photo as a twist.  I took the Clean and Simple road for this challenge, I love the serenity of the photo, it is just stunning.  I went with what I could see in the photo, the beautiful blue in the sky and water and the snow covered tree. I white embossed the tree and to add interest cut a panel off the left hand side of my card and around the tree. I stamped the tree again in London Fog  on the Whisper White card to pick up the row of trees around the pond. The sentiment depicts the pathway around the pond and the brad is my finishing touch. I then stamped the large oak leaf inside the card to frame the words that might be written.

Supplies:
Stamps:  S/U's Lovely as a Tree, Warmest Regards (R)
Card: Whisper White, Pacific Point
Ink: Versamark, Stazon Black, Tsukineko Memento London Fog
Finishing Touches: In Colour Brad
Tools: Embossing Buddy, Heat Tool, White EB Powder, 1" Square Punch, Stamp-a-ma-jig, Fiskars Trimmer, Martha Stewart Screw Punch, Dble Sided Tape, Dimensionals
Thanks' for visiting today.

Merry Monday Challenge #1 - Colour Throwdown #173 - Christmas 2012

Hello Folks,
Today's post was going to be for a new Challenge that I have just found called "Merry Monday Challenges" that is being hosted by Lesley Croghan.  The idea is to make a Christmas Card on a weekly basis so you are not in a great rush at the end of the year. Unfortunately, I only gave myself 40 minutes to produce my card and upload it and of course I missed the Linky deadline. LOL I also found that the Colour Throwndown Challenge this week incorporates the colours I used, so I have entered it in their challenge.

Supplies:
Stamps: S/U's Welcome Christmas, Tiny Tags
Card and Papers: Basic Black, Whisper White, Kaisercraft DSP Black and White Timeless Collection
Ink:  Stazon Black
Finishing Touches: Silver Star, Real Red Satin Ribbon,
Tools: Big Shot, Spellbinders Classic and Scalloped Oval Nestabilities, Provocraft Jamara EB Folder, Scallop Edge Border Punch, Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch, Jewelry Tag Punch, Dimensionals, Dble Sided Tape
Thanks' for taking a peek today at my blog and leaving a lovely comment.
