CAS Mix Up Challenge - July 2020 - Stencil Tracing - Autumn Leaves

Hi,
It's the 1st of July and time for a new challenge at CAS Mix Up. This month we are working with Stencils, Tracing them on our design and Nancy is our Hostess.  We have three Guest Designer's this month all previous Winners for the challenges at CAS Mix Up, Water colour and Stencils. Greta, Sandie and Kia welcome to the design team for July.
I blended with Distress Inks over the Stencil giving an Autumn theme to my card and then used a Soft Suede Marker to outline the leaves.  I finished off with a Gold embossed sentiment on Soft Suede

CAS Mix Up Challenge Reminder - June 2020 - Embossed Vellum - Beautiful Day

Hi there,
Today's card is a reminder that you have until the 24th of June to play along with the Design Team at CAS Mix Up.  For my card I heat embossed the images with White E/Powder and then coloured them with Copic Markers on the reverse of the Vellum.  I Fussy Cut the images and mounted them on the Perfect Plum Mat that I ran through the Big Shot with a Stitched Die.  I layered the flower and stamped the Sentiment mounting them with Dimensionals and Foam Tape. I finished the card off with Pearls and a Bunch of Flowers stamped and coloured for the inside.

CAS Mix Up Challenge - June 2020 - Embossed Vellum - Orange Bloom

Hello Everyone,
It's the 1st of June and we have a fun new Challenge at CAS Mix Up, I am Host and challenging you to use  Embossed Vellum. We welcome Bonnie as our Guest Designer this month.
We also have some changes happening, a new Design for the Blog and a new Format, some New Design Team Members, and Loll has decided to combine the CAS Mix Up, Water colouring and  Stencil challenges into one.  Each month will be a different technique style and repeated.  The Christmas Challenge will remain.
After Heat embossing the flower with Orange E/Powder I used a stylus to emboss the image from the reverse side, using waxed paper to help improve the movement of the stylus.  I love how the Vellum puffs up and changes it's colour giving the image a 3D look.  I then backed the flower with an Orange mat and die cut the circle sandwiching it to the front of my card.  I finished off with the Heat Embossed Sentiment and Stamping on the inside of my card.

CAS Mix Up Challenge Reminder - May 2020 - Gesso Resist - Hollyhocks

Good Morning,
This post is the reminder for the CAS Mix Up Challenge this month.  This was my first go with the Gesso and initially I wasn't happy with the effect and discarded it.  Then I decided to try using my Alcohol Sprays, some of which would spray and others that refused too.  I persevered and liked the outcome and made it into this card.  The shine is amazing, the Green Mat was also sprayed as none of my coloured card matched the spray colours.  The flowers were die cut and the centres inlaid back into them three times for some dimension.  The Sentiment was Heat Embossed and Punched out using the Classic Label Punch from Stampin' Up!  Hope you will join us and play along.

CAS Mix Up Challenge - May 2020 - Speckled Gesso Resist - Sunset

Hello,
Welcome to a new CAS Mix Up Challenge, this month we are being challenged to use Gesso Resist by Linda.  I found a You Tube Video by Kim Schofield that uses a Credit Card to get this amazing effect with Gesso.  Once my Gesso was dry I Ink Smooshed with Distress Inks, cut my Die Cut and did some Ink Sponging around the edges.  To complete my card I randomly stamped a word stamp, stamped the main image and finished off with the Sentiment and decorated the inside of my card.

Mark's Birthday 2020

Hello Friends,
This is the card we gave our Son for his Birthday on the 20th April.  I used Embossing Paste through a Brick Mask for the background, cut the Larry die cut twice, once with black card and then for the shirt white card. I finished off with the sentiment which I punched out and then trimmed the ends.  For the inside I used the Brick Wall Mask and sponged Grey Granite with a Make Up sponge.

CAS Mix Up Challenge Reminder - April 2020 - Bleaching - Green Turtle

Hi there,
This post is a reminder that you have until the 24th April to join us for the current CAS Mix Up Challenge.  Mac Mable is our Guest Designer this month.
I water coloured onto Watercolour Card following Andrea Kidman's Video and using blue, green and yellow paints, drying in between each additional colour with my Heat Gun so I didn't muddied them. Then I stamped the image with Stazon Black and bleached the turtle and some of the bubbles, I applied the bleach a number of times but found on the Watercolour card it was harder to remove the ink and gave a much softer look. The outline faded when I bleached the image of the turtle so I used a dark grey pencil  to give the image some more definition.  I stamped the sentiment, applied the epoxy clear shapes and finished my card.

Hello Friends,
Our youngest Daughter turns 40 today and this is the card we gave her.  Happy 40th Birthday Fiona!

I used Designer Paper for the background, stamped the flowers die cutting some of them and fussy cutting the rest.   I stamped the Crumb Cake card with the Hardwood BG, punched them out with the Classic Punch and sponged the edges.  Finished of by Gold embossing the Sentiment and Die cutting the numbers.  I die cut, stamped the flower and water coloured it on the white mat for the Greeting.
