The Play Date Cafe Challenge #67 - Friends

Hello Friends,
Today's post is for The Play Date Cafe colour challenge this week.  I saw a flower made with the 5 Petal Punch by Rebel Stamper a while ago and decided to have a go following Stacey's tutorial here. It could be a formal Dahlia, Camelia or Crysanthemum.  For the centre of the flower I curled one of the five petals and then cut into another one cutting each petal twice and then curled them over a skewer.  It turned out great, hope you like it.

My Favourite Things Sketch Challenge #5 and The Lollipop Ladies # 13 - Mint Fudge plus Polkadots - Happy St. Patrick's Day

Hi there,
My card today is for the MFT Sketch Challenge and The Lollipop Ladies Colour challenge. Love the mint and chocolate colour combination from the Lollipop Ladies.  I used a much unloved and minty card (Mint Melody) from Stampin Up that has long been retired ( I don't think anyone loved this colour too much) but I have to say that I love it with the chocolate.  I didn't have anything else I could use that would even go close to the mint, so I made my own Designer Paper using the Inlaid/Inset Embossing Folder Technique. Love how it turned out.  To do the Inlaid embossing you punch out your shapes and glue them to a base card to suit your design, insert the card into an embossing folder and then run it through your Big Shot. Stampin' Up's Square Lattice embossing folder works really well with this technique as it has a total coverage of your card. Very easy and very effective technique. I Paper Pieced Pure Innocence's clothes and embossed her top.
Supplies:
Stamps: My Favourite Things Pure Innocence 4 Leaf Clover, S/U's Cute Converse (R)
Card: Chocolate Chip, Mint Melody (R) Whisper White, Au Chocolate DSP (R)
Ink: Stazon Black,
Markers: Chocolate Chip, Real Red, Blush Blossom, More Mustard, Pear Pizzazz, Blushing Bride
Embellishments: Chocolate Chip Grossgrain Ribbon, Prima Pixie Tin Ellie Flower
Tools: Big Shot, Spellbinders Classic and Scalloped Oval Nestabilities, S/U's Square Lattice EB Folder, Polka Dot EB Folder,  Provo Craft Seeing Spots EB Folder, Martha Stewart Double Scallop Border Punch, Dimensionals, 2 Way Glue Pen, Double Sided Tape, Mini Glue Dots, Aqua Painter, Sponge, Mat Pack and Piercing Tool, 1/2" Circle Punch, Jewelry Tag Punch
Thanks for taking a peek today.  Happy Stamping!
