The Play Date Cafe Colour Challenge #93 - Sweet Peas

Hello Friends,
Today's post is for The Play Date Cafe Colour Challenge this week.  I used Stampin' Up's Green Galore, Cameo Coral and Poppy Parade as my colours. I love how the Sweet Pea image shows them off beautifully. I dyed the Rayon Binding Ribbon with Poppy Parade Re-inker and water and air dried it, didn't want it scrunched up because I wasn't doing a Vintage card. I am very happy with the colour.
This card was awarded the Cream In Our Coffee Award at The Play Date Cafe this week.

Supplies:
Stamps:  Flourishes Sweet Pea SS067, S/U's On Your Birthday

CR84FN#35 Colour Challenge - Irises

Happy Thursday Everyone,
Today's post is for the Cupcake Creations Colour Challenge this week.  The latest thing in Papercrafting seems to be stamping on Print, so I have made this card doing just that.  The print is only quite light so my water colouring has blended and hidden the print behind my image.  I do like the effect it has on the eye.  My border was made using the Martha Stewart Garden Trellis Punch, cut into 4 pieces and reassembled to make the square.  I followed a tutorial by Becca Feeken on her blog here.

Supplies:
Stamps: Flourishes Calendar Set 2, S/U's Teeny Tiny Sentiments
Card and Papers: Whisper White, Certainly Celery, Lavender Lace, Basic Grey, DSP Patterns Pack, - Neutrals
Ink:  Stazon Black, Basic Grey
Markers: Lavender Lace, Certainly Celery, Basic Grey
Embellishments:  1/8" Certainly Celery Taffeta Ribbon, Shiny Silver Pearls
Tools: Martha Stewart Garden Trellis Border Punch, Aqua Painter, Fiskars Cutter and Scoring Tool, Dimensionals, Dble Sided Tape, Word Window Punch, Modern Label Punch, Jone's Gloopy Glue

Odette Kermode's Gorgeous Box Card

Hi Folks,
Today I wanted to show you a fabulous card that my friend Odette designed and created.  It lays flat when unopened and once opened it bursts forth with an array of indivdually cut out flowers and greenery and has a box shaped base.  Simply gorgeous!!

It definately has a WOW factor, I couldn't believe my eyes when I first saw it.  I don't think Odette has a blog so I can't link you to it, but she is a very talented stamper.
Thanks' for stopping by today.  Take Care.

Pat Carr's Stamp Camp #2

Hi there,
Here are some more of the projects we made at Pat Carr's Stamp Camp in Toodyay at the weekend.
Odette Kermode's Multi Fold Card (Also known as a Napkin Fold Card) Odette also used this fold as the centre of a Scrapbook page.
Lynda Winfield's Smooshing Technique
We used the Smooshing Technique to create the background.  I used Rich Razzleberry, Perfect Plum and Elegant Eggplant and I love how it turned out.  You start with a piece of Acetate or similar, drag your stamp pads over it and then spray liberally with water until droplets are formed.  Then you drag your paper in a circular motion to soak up the ink.  You can pick up your paper and move it to a different place if needed.  You can air dry or use your heat tool.  Then if there any droplets left on your acetate you can mop them up by placing your paper on top to give your background a more splotchy look and then dry once again. In the drying process if you are using a heat tool dry from the back and then the front of your paper and it should come out fairly flat when you are done.
Pat Carr's Brayering Project
Love this card, lots of brayering and sponging but definitely worth it for the effect achieved. The main image was one piece of card and cut into three for the Centre Step Card.  We used Night of Navy, Marina Mist, Perfect Plum and Bashful Blue for the brayering colours.
I will post the Shoebox Swaps in the next couple of days.
Thanks' for poppin in today.  Take care.
