Stamp Camp with Andrea

Hi there,
On the 20th and 21st August I attended a Stamp Camp with Western Australian Demonstrator Andrea Buckland down at Baldivis.  Thanks to Andrea for inviting me and to the other ladies who attended, it was a very enjoyable weekend. It was lovely to meet new faces and see how creative you all are.  I couldn't believe how much gear these girls brought to the camp, literally suitcases full.  Andrea made gifts that she placed on our pillows made with the Scallop Circle die and contained a Picnic Bar.
We received another gift from Andrea on our desks a cute tissue box holder.
Nicki Turner also made a gift with the Envelope Sizzix die. Thank's Andrea and Nicki.

There was also a Door Prize Swap - The one I selected was made by Andrea.  Andrea made it with the Scallop Circle Bigz Die and Big Shot.  It is gorgeous and I love how Andrea decorated the inside of the box too.
Everyone made a Shoebox Swap, and here are some photo's of the swaps we made. Thank's to Sue Johnston, Amy Bowater, Dale James, Christine Schwartz,
Rowena Roberts, Tracey Bingham, Andrea Buckland, Helen McWhirter

On Saturday Pat Carr who belongs to my group the Stamperoo's came to the camp and bought along an original design for me that she made for convention, the Sydney Opera House card.  Thank's Pat you are so creative, love it.  I can't show you Pat's Shoebox Swap because she intends to use it for Stampin' Up's Perth Regionals, it is very cute and I will feature the card after 11th September.  I made a Notepad and Pen set as my swap with the new Catalogue Stamp set Friends Never Fade and the Greenhouse Gala Designer Paper for the Pen.

Just Add Ink #31 - It's Almost Christmas.....

Hello Friends,
Today's post is for the Just Add Ink Colour Challenge this week.  I attended a Stamp Camp this last weekend and haven't felt myself after catching a bug again. I wasn't sure were this card was going when I started but I am very happy with the outcome.  I have used some of the new Stampin' Up! products that will be available in the new catalogue on September 1.  The stamp set is called Contempo Christmas and the Embossing Folder is called Vintage Wallpaper.  A new Ornament punch will be available from the new catalogue after September 1 to punch out the Christmas Ornament.  I inked up the embossing folder and then ran it through my Big Shot to transfer the colour onto the card, I really like the effect.  For the sentiment I cut two shapes with the Lots of Tags Sizzlits die and then I cut the Very Vanilla one in half to mat it behind the Kraft one.  I added some Mini Crystals from Taylored Expressions onto the Ornaments.

Supplies:
Stamps: Contempo Christmas
Card: Chocolate Chip, Kraft, Very Vanilla
Ink: Real Red, Chocolate Chip
Embellishments: Kraft Taffeta Ribbon, Taylored Expressions Mini Crystals, Linen Thread
Tools: Big Shot, Textured Impressions EB Folder Vintage Wallpaper, Lots of Tags Dies, Stamp-a-ma-jig, Dimensionals, Jones Tones Gloop Glue, Skewer, Sponge, Mini Glue Dots
Thanks for stopping by today.

Just Add Ink #29 - Fancy Flower

Hi there,
Todays post is for the Just Add Ink Colour Challenge this week.  I used Versamark to stamp the Kraft layer and added a bit of stiching with my sewing machine. The Very Vanilla Top Note Die shape has been sponged and spritized using the Colour Spritzer tool and an Always Artichoke marker.  I stamped the solid part of the flower off once and then as my main image and finished it off with the outline stamp and my Stamp-a-ma-jig. I used my Aquapainter to fill in the leaves.  For the centre of the flower I used Crystal Effects to hold the Chunky Glitter.
Supplies:
Stamps:  Flower Fancy, Tiny Tags
Card: Always Artichoke, Kraft, Rose Red, Very Vanilla
Ink: Always Artichoke, Rose Red, Versamark
Embellishments: Chunky Glitter, Very Vanilla Satin Ribbon
Tools: Big Shot, Top Note Die, Dimensionals, Stamp-a-ma-jig, Aquapainter, Colour Spritzer Tool, Cutter Tool, Crystal Effects, Mini Glue Dot, Medium Jewelry Tag Punch, Sponges, Sewing Machine

Stamperoo's Christmas in July Stamp Camp 2010

For the last weekend in July I attended the Stamperoo's Stamp Camp which was held at Swanleigh in the Swan Valley. Christmas in July was the theme for the weekend and thirty four Demonstrators met and we had a fabulous time chatting, laughing and stamping.  We started on Friday evening with dinner in the Dinning Room and then moved to the Library were everything was set up.  Ngaire gave us this sweet little gift made out of the Top Note Die, which was full of a yummy toffee mixture that she makes.

I delivered the first Workshop and we made Lanterns from my own design.  We started from scratch drawing the template bit by bit.  It was a bit time consuming  and considering the number of participants it went relatively smoothly, there were a couple of wrong turns but the results were terrific.  I altered my original design and used vellum for the side panels so the battery operated tea lights flickered through.  Here are some of the completed Lanterns. Don't they look fabulous.
We all prepped for a Shoebox Swap, and moved around the room making each others design for the rest of the evening, getting to know each other and having a good ole chat. Some of us were still going at 2am. Here are the swaps we made.  The Scallop circle in the top picture was on my thank you present from Ngaire,  I love the design.
On Saturday after breakfast Jenny Chilton did a workshop on a Meander Book designed by Beate Johns. The centre of the book is made from one sheet of 12" x 12" designer paper. You could use it as a gift with photos, verses or quotes.  It turned out really cute. I have not finished decorating mine as I need to organise some photos.
Pat Carr did a workshop on an Accordian Flip File Album that was originally designed by LeeAnn Greff.   Once again I have not had the time to finish mine. These are the outside and inside views.
After Lunch we all went onto finishing the Shoebox swaps. There were some fantastic ideas for cards and 3D items.

This is Ann Gerlach's Swap, I love the way she did the frosting on the little pudding which I have tried to capture in the photo.
This was Nicolle Ewings Swap. Everyone loved it.
My swap was a box for four pencils that I created myself.
We had all been so busy we nearly forgot to take a photo of the group, unfortunately a couple of ladies had already left, so here we are.
It was a very full 24 hours and we had lots of fun. Thanks so much to Ngaire for organising the event, Jenny and Pat for their workshops, and to everyone else for your fabulous swaps and friendship.
Thanks for stopping by today for my very long post.
Hugs,
