Monthly Calendar Challenge January, 2011 - Scrap with Numbers

Hi Stamper's and Scrapper's,
It's a New Year and I am going to continue with my Monthly Calendar Challenge's and hopefully inspire all of you to join in.  One of my New Year resolutions is to create a monthly calendar for the whole year in 2011, I missed a couple of months last year but I made two calendars for most of the other months. This year I will aim to do one per month and therefore hopefully last the distance, but I need you to participate and spurr me on.

Rules for this year are to follow the theme for the month and do a 6" x 6" scrap page, link it to my Inlinkz domain from your blog or other source of publishing so that everyone can check them out.  The challenge will finish on the last day of each month at Midnight Western Australian time, Inlinkz will advise you when the link is closed. I am organising a Badge to advertise the challenge and a TopPick or Winners Badge, depending on the number of entries I receive.  As an added incentive I will offer Blog Candy at different times of the year, which will be open to everyone.

For January 2011 the theme is Numbers.  Just add some numbers wether it is in the form of a calendar or as part of your design. Can't wait to see what you come up with!!

For my January calendar I have created a vintage theme using numbers and time, which is a very traditional idea for the count down to the New Year and something that most of us stay up for just so we can Welcome in the New Year.

Edited to Add: I display my calendars on a stand in the clear Page Protectors that SU have in their catalogue for the 6" x 6" Linen Post Albums.  If you refer to my post here I give details on how to make a stand with the dimensions. I do a page for each month throughout the year, the idea being that I hope to improve my scrappin skills.  Last years pages will be kept in a Linen Album for display purposes and ideas for workshop participants and some of them could be altered and photo's added.
The blog candy for January includes some clear stamps, stamp pad and ribbon and some cotton Bakers Twine which is all the craze at the moment in America. I just received my supply yesterday. So to be able to win the Candy Do a Calendar Page, become a Follower of my Blog, or leave a Comment on this Post.
I hope you can join in and have some fun scrappin!  If you want some more inspiration check out the other calendar's I designed last year. Thank's for visiting my blog.
Hugs,
Cat's Ink Siggy
