Not Good Enough.....or Was It?? Part 2

Hi there,
These are the 3D Items I submitted for my submission to the JAI Design Team. Check out my previous post here for the other part of the submission.
I used the tutorial from Splitcoast Stampers to make the Heart box from scratch, the Heart Easel card is my own design using the Spellbinders Heart Nestabilities.  I also included my Simply Adorned Chain, Charm, Baubles and a Trinket Key as the present for the box, I think the Fresh Vintage Stamp worked a treat for the 1" x 1 1/4" Frame.  I just love all the items I made and I think it is a very pretty set. Let me know what you think, any questions just ask.

Not Good Enough.....or Was It?? Part 1

Hi Everyone,
Today's post is the Card I submitted to Just Add Ink for a place on their Design Team. As many of you know I was not successful.  We also had to submit a 3D Item and that will be Part 2, hopefully my next post.
I decided I would make a Male themed card as they don't phase me like a lot of other stampers and I made the 3D Items as the frilly girlie part of my submission.  For this card  I stamped the image using Versamark and Early Espresso and Clear embossed it.  I then masked the image and sponged the clouds.  I coloured in the sea and as this stamp has a very definite sea area I used my White Gel Pen to camouflage it and make it less noticeable.  I then cut the mats sponging the outside edges.  The Crumb Cake background has been crimped and I used the Early Espresso stamp pad to add definition.  I stamped the compass on Designer Paper and punched it out with my Punches and sponged the edges and mounted it on Dimensionals.  I stamped the sentiment, sponged the edges and ruffed up the edges with my Cutter Tool. For the Finishing Touch I used some Bakers Twine.

Supplies:
Stamps:  S/U's Curly Cute, The Open Sea,
Card and Papers:  Early Espresso, Whisper White, Not Quite Navy, Crumb Cake
Ink:  Versamark, Early Espresso, Not Quite Navy, Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake, Bashful Blue
Finishing Touches: Bakers Twine, White Gel Pen
Tools:  Big Shot, Sizzix Top Note Die, Spellbinders Classic Oval Nestabilities, Cutter Tool, 1 3/8" Circle Punch, 1" Square Punch, Scallop Circle Punch, Masking Medium, Sponges, Crimper, Dimensionals, Dble Sided Tape
You should take these set backs on the chin and get on with it but I am quite peeved for a number of reasons which I don't wish to go into.  I do believe that there must be something else bigger and better just around the corner, after all these little disappointments happen for a reason, don't they.
Please check out my next post also and let me know what you think.
Thanks' for stopping by today.
