Christmas in the Country

Hi Friends,
I wanted to share some photos I took of how we decorate for Christmas in country Western Australia.
This is the Welcome sign at one of the Main entry roads to the town we live in.  The Shire have added the Santa Hats for some Christmas cheer.
The Candy Stick is on a little side road at Wannamal on our way to Perth the capital in Western Australia.
A farm gate at Wannamal decorated with painted timber cut outs of Santa and the animals surfing.

Hope you enjoyed my photos. What do folks do in your area, I would love to see. Thanks for taking a peek today.
Hugs,

Merry Little Christmas

Hello Friends,
Today I made some quick Christmas cards to send to some Stamping friends. I used Winter Frost DSP for a mat on the Smokey Slate card and then matted the sentiment with my Multi Mat Tool.  The Multi Mat creates a finer border around any shapes that you might not have a nest off and then you cut them out.  I finished off with the felt Snowflakes, Button and Silver Cord and a strip of DSP on the inside.

Supplies:
Stamps: S/U's Merry Little Christmas, Snowflake Soiree
Card and Papers: Smokey Slate, Island Indigo, Whisper White, Winter Frost DSP
Ink: Island Indigo, Coastal Cabana
Finishing Touches: Felt, Twitterpated Buttons, Silver Cord
Cool Tools: Big Shot, Sizzix Snow Flurry Bigz Die, Needle, Sizzix Chalk Talk Framelits, Multi Mat, Dble Sided Tape, Dimensionals
Thanks for visiting today,

Merry Monday #87 - Fair Isle Mitten

Hi Everyone,
It's time for another Merry Monday Challenge and this week we challenge you to create a card in the shape of a mitten or a card with stamped mittens on it. I went with the shaped mitten and tried to make it look like it was knitted in a Fair Isle pattern with some plain knitting at the opening.  My template is from the Cutting Café. I used an Artline pen to give the stag eyes and a nose. I stamped the reindeer on Watercolour paper instead of layering it to give more definition to the shape.  I finished off with a handmade tag, linen bow, crochet trim, snowflake and a button.

Supplies:
Stamps: Papertrey Ink In The Meadow, S/U's Petite Pairs
Card and Papers: Whisper White, Cajun Craze, Very Vanilla, Watercolour Paper Scrap, Kaisercraft Christmas Carol DSP
Ink: Cajun Craze, Crumb Cake
Finishing Touches: Regals Collection Button, Copper Frost Bakers Twine, Natural Linen 1" Ribbon, Victoria 5/8" Crochet Trim
Cool Tools: Computer and Printer, Cutting Café Mitten Template, Big Shot, Papertrey Ink In the Meadow Die, Stamp-a-ma-jig, Sizzix Northern Frost Decorative Strip Die, Martha Stewart Screw Punch, Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch, Sponge, Dble Sided Tape, Dimensionals, Mini Glue Dots, Sticky Strip

Stamperoo's Thinlits Die Swap - Birthday Greetings

Hi Friends,
Today's card was my swap at our Up line meeting this week.  We were to use a Thinlits Die and I chose the Circle Thinlits Die with an extended flap.  I wanted to use my Gingham Wheel and Kind and Cozy Stamp Set and create a country themed card.  I used the Sizzix Stripes embossing folder and embossed in two different directions to make a basket weave effect and the vase of flowers from Tea Party was coloured with markers direct to the rubber stamp and huffed and puffed before stamping. I finished off with some Pool Party Satin Ribbon and the sentiment was stamped and punched out with oval punches.

Supplies:
Stamps: S/U's Kind and Cozy, Tea Party, Gingham Wheel, Wetlands
Card: Pool Party, Whisper White, So Saffron
Ink: Pool Party, Coastal Cabana, Daffodil Delight, So Saffron, Wild Wasabi
Finishing Touches: Pool Party Satin Ribbon
Cool Tools: Big Shot, Circle Thinlits Die, Scallop Oval Punch, Large Oval Punch, 2 1/2" Circle Punch, Sizzix Stripes E/Folder, Stamp-a-ma-jig, Dble Sided Tape, Dimensionals
I have changed my Header this week to a Christmas Version, hope you like it.

Merry Monday #85 - Noel!

Hello, Happy Tuesday,
It's time for another Merry Monday Challenge, and this week we challenge you to use all White or all Ivory with Brown or Kraft for the Sentiment or Accents. I made this card first and then realised that two of the other DT had used poinsettia flowers so I made another card.  I have a few firsts on this card, first time using the Joyful Christmas Stamp Set, the Pretty Print Embossing Folder, the Noel Stamp and the Creamy Pearls.  I stamped the Poinsettia on the very last bits of Vellum I have and cut the flower out and layered the centre.  When I cut the flower I cut further into it so I could get some extra dimension and I spritzed it with some Snow Frost Smooch Spritz. I embossed the Whisper White Mat with the Sizzix Pretty Print embossing folder and sponged around the Noel image. Hope you like it!

Supplies:
Stamps: S/U's Joyful Christmas, Simon Says Small Folded Banners Holiday Stamp Set
Card: Whisper White, Vellum
Ink: Versamark, Crumb Cake
Finishing Touches: Organdie Ribbon, Pearls, Snow Frost Smooch Spritz
Cool Tools: Big Shot, Sizzix Pretty Prints E/Folder, Embossing Buddy, White E/Powder, Heat Tool, Large Oval Punch, Sponge, Dble Sided Tape, Dimensionals, Tombow Multi Purpose Glue
Thanks for dropping by today.
