Hi Everyone,
Last weekend I attended a camp with my good friend Pat Carr at a Retreat Centre in Shoalwater which is south of Perth. It is a lovely peaceful place, very close to the sea and although it rained a lot of the weekend we all enjoyed ourselves making some gorgeous projects. Pat, Jenny Chilton, Andrea Buckland and myself also presented a workshop and some technique classes.
Today's post is featuring three technique cards by Andrea Buckland using different mediums for the background and the same stamp set for each. For the first card we coloured with Marker's directly onto a clear block and spritzed and then stamped. You leave the clear block sitting on the card until it has drawn all the moisture onto the card and the clear block is completely dry. You then stamp your images and colour them as required.
Supplies:
Stamps: S/U's Wetlands
Card: Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Whisper White
Ink: Stazon Black, Wild Wasabi, Crumb Cake, Marina Mist, Soft Sky, Basic Black
Finishing Touches: Early Espresso Twine
Cool Tools: Clear Block, Spritzer, Stamp-a-ma-jig, Dble Sided Tape
The next card was made using Stamp Pads dragged lightly, directly on the card. This technique can appear overdone until you do some stamping and it changes the whole look of your card.
Supplies:
Stamps: S/U's Wetlands
Card: Basic Black, Crumb Cake, Whisper White
Ink: Stazon Black, Soft Sky, Smokey Slate, Crumb Cake
Cool Tools: Big Shot, Sizzix Pretty Print E/Folder, Large Oval Punch, Wide Oval Punch
The last card of the set was made using Painter's Tape inked up on stamp pads, stamped off once and stamped on the Whisper White card. You can use the Painters Tape over and over again. To keep the colours uniform on the background you can mark the tape on the stamp pad at the edges, this helps to line each colour up.
Supplies:
Stamps: S/U's Wetlands
Card: Wild Wasabi, Soft Sky, Whisper White
Ink: Stazon Black, Soft Sky, Marina Mist, Crumb Cake, Wild Wasabi
Finishing Touches: 7/16" Flax/Burlap Trim
Cool Tools: Stamp-a-ma-jig, Painters Tape, Dble Sided Tape, Dimensionals
Check back in the next few days for some more of the gorgeous projects we made, or become a follower so you know when I have posted some more projects.
Thanks for dropping by today.
Hugs,
