Happy Australia Day!

Hello Everyone,
I just had to post this picture of my darling husband Graham. I am so very proud he has been rewarded for his hardwork and dedication over a number of years to the Moora Repertory Club, Moora Fine Arts Society and the Moora Frail Aged Lodge.  He was named Moora Citizen of the Year in the Australia Day honours today.
Things are very busy here at the moment, two Grand daughters are coming for a few days visit on Monday and we have been to Perth a few times lately.  I am working on my Design Team cards and haven't really had much time for any other challenges.  Hopefully things will be back to normal soon.

Still addINKtive - Spot That Stamp Set - Stampin' Up's Patterned Occasions

Happy Wednesday Everyone,
Today's post is for the Still addINKtive Spot That Stamp Set.  We are focused on the Sale-A- Bration Stamp Sets Patterned Occasions, Pretty Petites and Bloomin' Marvellous.  We are hoping you will add any cards you have made with a limit of three using any of these stamp sets to add to the inspiration provided by the Still addINKtive Design Team.
As a bonus Bronwyn has created three different shaped cards and is giving everyone who participates a free copy of each template for every card you link.
I made a set of Mini cards 4 1/2" x 4 1/2".  The Whisper White focal point was divided into three sections one for the stamped images, one for sentiment and the other was embossed.  Then I stamped the sentiments and dry embossed the edge of each one. I stamped some of the images again in different colours fussy cutting them and mounted them on dimensionals. For the inside I embossed each card on one side.

Stamps: S/U's SAB Patterned Occasions, Teeny Tiny Sentiments

Still addINKtive #2 - Field Flowers

Hello Friends,
Today's post is for this weeks Still addINKtive Challenge.  We have a Sketch and Colour Combination for you to use.  It took me a while to decide on what to make with the colours this week,  until I played with the two step flower stamp from Field Flowers and I liked how the Summer Starfruit and Tempting Turquiose  looked and that is where I built my card from.  I tried Crumb Cake ink for the Hello Doily stamp in the background but thought it was too dark and then decided to do a Versamark and Crumb Cake Chalk version and I love that it is so soft and pretty and not overpowering to the rest of the design.  For my finishing touches I added some pearls and put some Summer Starfruit Satin Ribbon on top of some Chocolate Chip Dotted Ribbon, I just love them together.

Supplies:
Stamps:  S/U's Field Flowers, Hello Doily, En Francias BG, Petite Pairs
Card: Chocolate Chip, Tempting Turquoise, Very Vanilla, Summer Starfruit
Ink: Tempting Turquoise, Summer Starfruit, Chocolate Chip, Versamark, Crumb Cake Chalk
Finishing Touches: Chocolate Chip Dotted Ribbon, Summer Starfruit Satin Ribbon, Pearls
Cool Tools: Big Shot, Sizzix Large Scallop Square Die, Stamp-a-ma-jig, Large Oval Punch, Scallop Oval Punch, Dble Sided Tape, Dimensionals

Fab Friday #9 - Best Wishes

Hi Friends,
Today's post is for the current Fab Friday Challenge.  I love this fabulous sketch and I enjoyed making this card.  The design worked out exactly how I wanted it, if not better.   I made a rolled flower centre with MFT's Large Rolled Rose Die and then punched out two layers for the base of the flower with Stampin' Up's Fancy Flower Punch.  When I spritzed and manipulated the Fancy flower shapes the card came apart so I opened it up and added the extra layers to my flower.  I did quite a bit of sponging with Wisteria Wonder and the flower was spritzed with the White Smooch Spritz to add some sparkle .  Finished off with some Wisteria Wonder Frilled Ribbon, Crystals and a Tag from Papertrey's Tiny Tags Die. The leaf was made by folding a 1 1/2"piece of card in half, putting it through the crimper at an angel and then free hand cutting the leaf.

Supplies:
Stamps: S/U's Tiny Tags
Card: Whisper White, Wisteria Wonder, Lucky Limeade
Ink: Wisteria Wonder, Lucky Limeade
Finishing Touches: Crystals, Wisteria Wonder Ruffled Ribbon, White Smooch Spritz
Cool Tools: Martha Stewart Stained Glass Punch, Big Shot, Fancy Flower Punch, Lace Ribbon Border Punch, MFT Large Rolled Rose Die,  Crimper, Papertrey Ink Tiny Tags Die, Stamp-a-ma-jig, Sponges, Tombow Multi Purpose Glue, Dble Sided Tape, Dimensionals

Merry Monday Challenge #45 - Christmas Pine Cones

Hello Folks,
Today's post is for this weeks Merry Monday Sketch Challenge.  I used some very old retired Stampin' Up! stamps from 1997 and 2006 for my card this week.  I came across an old card that I made for my husband using the Pine cones and branches and that gave me the inspiration to make this card.  I stamped the images and then used Versamark and White embossing powder to add some snow.  I pieced around the circle and banner and sponged the edges.  I used the Woodgrain embossing folder for the background mat.  Finished off with some Soft Suede Polka Dot Grossgrain Ribbon, Clear Heart Button and Baker's Twine.

Happy 70th Birthday!

Hi Stampers,
Before  you get to my post today, is there anyone else having issues with their blogger account?  I have just spent a couple of days trying to upload a photo to a post and at every turn being told that I had to connect to Google +.  Then once I had muddled my way through that it still wouldn't work until I went through Google Chrome.  So I am more than peeved that I have had to make changes and I don't believe we should be held to ransom by an Internet Service. Okay sorry to vent but I am totally over changes being made all the time and then what used to work won't any more. Why make changes if it don't need fixing!!!!

Right enough of that, this is what you came for, today's Easel card was made for my SIL who turned 70 on the 6th January.  A very simple card, hope you like it.

Supplies:
Stamps: S/U's Pleasant Poppies, Oval All (R)
Card: Raspberry Ripple, Pretty In Pink, Whisper White
Ink: Stazon Black, Raspberry Ripple, Old Olive, Pretty In Pink
Finishing Touches: Raspberry Ripple Satin Stitched Ribbon
Cool Tools:  Big Shot, Finishing Touches Edgelits, Aqua Painter, Large Oval Punch, Scallop Oval Punch, Computer and Printer, Dble Sided Tape, Dimensionals
Thanks for dropping in today.
