One Layer Christmas Card Challenge #8 R - Christmas Blessings

Happy Tuesday All,
Today's post is a reminder to let you know you still have time to play along with us at the One Layer Christmas Card Challenge.  The challenge is Anything Goes with an Optional Twist to Use a Tree/s and a chance to Win a Stencil at the end of each month.
For today's card I embossed a Stitched Rectangle and then stamped the Tree in Versamark and used Pewter E/Powder which I heat set with my Heat Tool.  I used the same technique for the Sentiment.

Merry Monday #156 - Believe

Happy Monday Everyone,
Today's post is for the Merry Monday Challenge this week.  Wendy is our Hostess and she is challenging us to Use Pinecones, Green and the word Believe.  I stamped the glow and some of the pine and then fussy cut the pinecones and some of the leaves.  For the candles I used the Modern Label Punch and the Bird Builder Punch.  The glittered Baubles are 3/4" Circle's and coloured with a Copic Pen.  I finished with a few clear sequins.  Hope you will play along with us this week.

Mark's Birthday 2015

Good Morning,
I made today's card for our Son's Birthday. In the last few years he has become quite the Veggie and Herb Gardener as he has found a bit more time to dabble.  I used a retired stamp set from Stampin' Up! called Garden Pleasures.  Because the images are small I decided to use a block effect to display each image.

One Layer Christmas Card Challenge #8 - Scenic Christmas

Hi Stampers,
Welcome to a new challenge at One Layer Christmas Cards.  We are challenging you to make a Christmas card and the theme is Anything Goes with an Optional Twist of adding Trees,  if you take up the Optional Twist you have a chance to Win a Stencil at the end of the month.
My card today was created by inking up a clear block, spritzing it with water and stamping on the card.  I then inked up the stamp and stamped over the background when it was dry.  I coloured the bird with a Real Red Marker before stamping.  I finished off with some Linen Thread.

Merry Monday #155 - Maisie's Christmas

Hello Friends,
Today's post is for this weeks Merry Monday Christmas Card Challenge.  I am Hostess this week and I am wanting you to add a Dog or Cat to your Christmas card.  You may add more than one animal or both, hope you enjoy my challenge.  Do check out the other design teams cards for some fantastic inspiration. I used markers and an Aqua Painter to colour my cat and present.  I then used a stencil to add the darker dots on the present.  I embossed the White background and added a strip of DSP. I went over the ribbon on the present with my Wink of Stella  Pen.  The die cut word Merry came from Karren one of our DT Members which I coloured with Tim Holtz Festive Berries Distress Ink. I finished off with some Bakers Twine.

Mark and Karlie's Anniversary

Hi there,
Today's card was for our Son and Daughter in Law for there Anniversary this week.  I die cut the word Happy enough times to cover the front of my card.  I ran them all through my Xyron machine and then stamped and embossed the rest of the sentiment with White embossing powder on black card.  Finished off with some clear sequins.

One Layer Christmas Card Challenge #7 R Blue Christmas

Hello Friends,
Today's post is a reminder that there is still time to join us and create a card for the One Layer Christmas Card Challenge which is Anything Goes with an Optional Twist to Use Blue for the chance to Win a Stencil at the end of each month. I embossed my image with White Embossing Powder and then sponged my blue over it and added the clear sequins.  I inked the sentiment with Versamark and then Tempting Turquoise before stamping and embossing with Clear Embossing Powder.

One Layer Christmas Card Challenge #7 - Christmas Night Sky

Happy Tuesday Friends,
Today's post is for the new One Layer Christmas Card Challenge #7 and we are to Use Blue as the Optional Twist.  I went all out with the blues, sponging the early night sky with Distress Inks and then the pine trees with a shadow on the snow.  I splattered water on the sky and added Dazzling Diamonds to the snow.  I masked off the Moon and sponged the yellow outside the circle and then inside.  I finished off with some blue star sequins.

Merry Monday #153 - Christmas Angel

Welcome, Happy Monday,
This week Lori is our Hostess at Merry Monday and she is challenging us to Use an Angel on our cards.  I found this lovely  piece of Designer Paper, the background already has that look of being stamped, so I added the Sentiment and some Clear Sequins and sponged the edges of each piece of card and DSP.  I decorated the inside too.  Hope you will join us and get a head start on your Christmas cards if you haven't been playing along so far this year.
