Still addINKtive #7 - Butterfly Doily

Hello Friends,
It's Wednesday and it's time for our next challenge at Still addINKtive.  This week we have a sketch and colour challenge using Old Olive, Rich Razzleberry and Pretty In Pink.
Edited to Add: To join the two doily's I followed a tutorial by Becca Feeken at Amazing Paper Grace here. Becca's card is absolutely stunning and so beautifully made.  I made this card twice because I used the wrong colour originally.  The first one cut much better than the second with this Doily die, not sure if it was my plastic Big Shot sheets that are very worn and warped or the die is not as sharp.

Merry Monday #54 - Merry Snowmen

Hi Stampers,

Today's post is for the Merry Monday challenge this week and we have a fun challenge for you to design with, so grab your Snowmen stamps and get crafting, we would love to see your card.

I have used a couple of retired Stampin' Up! stamps to create my card. I stamped on the DSP and  White embossed the Snowflakes for my background.  Coloured in my image with Markers and an Aqua Painter.  After punching out the snowflake I added some Dazzling Diamonds and a Crystal.  I finished off with some Marina Mist Satin Ribbon.

Still addINKtive - Spot That Stamp Set - Zentangled Flowers

Happy Wednesday Everyone,
Today's post is another card I made for this weeks Spot That Stamp Set at Still addINKtive using Stampin' Up's  Secret Garden.  I wanted to try some Zentangle Patterns a new Technique for me and I enjoyed every minute of my freehand doodling.  I think it is very striking in Black and White but I see on the Internet at some of the sites I visited that you can add colour to your designs also.  How did I do, do you like it?

Still addINKtive Spot That Stamp Set - Secret Garden

Hello Friends,
Today's post is for the Still addINKtive Spot That Stamp Set and this week we are looking at Secret Garden and Hearts a Flutter.  I am trying a new technique which seems to have missed out on a name.  I have found it as White Wash or Colour Wash and I saw a Tutorial by Sandi MacIver here and it was shown to her by Amy Koenders who saw a card by Karen Barber who found it on Pinterest.  It is a fun easy technique to do with Kraft card and the finished colouring is so soft and pretty, one of my new favourite techniques. I used Elegant Eggplant, Summer Starfruit and Baja Breeze for my colours.  I did add extra layers of colour to highlight the flowers, so they had more depth.

Still Addinktive Spot That Stamp Set - By the Tide

Happy Wednesday Everyone,
This week at Still addINKtive we are looking at Stampin' Up's By The Tide and By The Seashore for the Spot That Stamp Set Challenge. Don't forget to make a new card or link one you have already made so we have a comprehensive list of ideas.
I wanted to try the Salt Technique for the background. There are two different ways you can do this technique.
1. Use glossy card, brayer the colours on and spray with a mister and then sprinkle it with rock salt.
2. Use watercolour paper, spray it extensively, so the ink will run when you dab it on with a paintbrush, then let it soak up the colour and water and dry off a bit and sprinkle it with rock salt.  I wet the paintbrush before picking up the colour and washed it off after I used each one.  I have added a photo of the samples I made further down in my post.   I used the brayered glossy card for my card today.

Merry Monday # 51 - Furry Christmas

Hello Crafty Friends,
Today's post is for this weeks Merry Monday Tic Tac Toe Challenge. I went down the Right Hand Column with Ribbon, Cute and Designer Paper. I used Designer Paper for everything except the card base and base for the image.  I coloured the pearl on the beanie with my Lipstick Red copic, added a pearl to the other dogs nose and crystal effects to the dog and cat's noses.
